TOKYO, Japan – Miss SAKE, a general incorporated association, announced it would hold the 2025 Mr SAKE contest and opened the application process in anticipation of celebrating a new kind of ambassador—men who combine fitness, respect for Japanese culture, and a passion for sake. The organizers emphasized the unique synergy between “Muscle meets Sake” and “Power meets Tradition,” reflecting a desire to highlight modern energy and historical depth.
Emphasizing a Healthy, Culturally Engaged Lifestyle
In its call for entries, the Miss SAKE Association underscored that Mr SAKE contestants were to serve as cultural representatives who spread the charm of Japan’s ancient food traditions and love of sake worldwide. Samurai Program for Finalists
Selected finalists were invited to join the Samurai Program, an initiative designed to deepen their understanding of Japan’s cultural and historical ties to sake. Through this program, they gained knowledge of sake’s significance and cultivated intelligence, dignity, and bravery—qualities viewed as vital for representing Japan on a global stage.
2025 Mr SAKE Final Selection
After the application period, the final selection occurred on May 10, 2025, at Kanda Myojin EDDOCCO STUDIO in Tokyo, in conjunction with the 2025 Mrs SAKE event. The winners, including the Grand Prix recipient, were expected to participate in a series of domestic and international events promoting sake, Japanese heritage, and healthy living.
