6th edition of Sri Chitragupta Puja at Kendriya Vihar a grand success

Hundreds of enthusiasts from Chitransh and Kayastha as well as from other communities celebrated 6th edition of our Sri Chitragupta Puja at Sahyog, Kendriya Vihar in Gurugram on November 9 with great fervor and devotion.

The event also witnessed participation of several eminent personalities from various walks of life from across the Delhi and NCR towns, and they were all praise for the cultural program offered by the famous Delhi-based Aarohi Musical Society headed by Pankaj Mathur.

According to Sanjeev Shrivastav, the general secretary of the community society The Chitransh the 6th edition of Sri Chitragupta Puja turned out to be a great success.

“As scheduled, the Sri Chitragupta Pujan started at 11.15 AM and got over around 1.00 PM followed by cultural program by famous Aarohi Musical Society. This cultural program was such a big hit that it had to be extended by two more hours. During this time, the devotees enjoyed the sumptuous community feast served the society treasurer Anish Chandra who runs the famous Play ‘O’ Cafe restaurant,” Shrivastav said.

The eminent personalities who attended the Pujan included Neera Shastri, the youngest daughter-in-law of our late Prime Minister Sri Lal Bahadur Shastri; Dr B K Sinha, the Haryana DGP (Vigilance)  and municipal councilor Mahesh Dayma as chief guest and guests of honour respectively.

Besides several other well-known people from various walks of lives from across the NCR, also included P N Singh.

Shirvastav said, “One of the highlights of this year’s Sri Chitragupta Puja was the unprecedented annual membership enrolment drive from across the Delhi NCR, Gujarat and even from Russia. The community society The Chitransh reiterated its resolve to enroll at least 200 more members by the next Sri Chitragupta Puja.”

Others who played instrumental in making the Pujan a grand success included Manoj Srivastava, Deepak Kumar, Dipak Verma, Sumit Bhatnagar and Santosh Sinha as well as veterans S N Labh & S K Bhatnagar.
