Taiwanese business delegation visits India to explore opportunities in electronics, telecom, software, ICT

NEW DELHI/TAIPEI: A 10-member Taiwanese business delegation recently visited India to explore possibilities of collaborations in the field of Electronics, Telecommunication, and Information Technology, and to participate in the 23rd edition of INDIASOFT 2023 – International ICT Exhibition and conference organized in New Delhi on March 27-29.
The participating companies from Taiwan included Pegatron, ActPower, Plustek, Aicademy, WiseTac, JimYen, Senru, and Techmation.
Jennifer Makhecha (Tseng, Hsiao-Li), Chairperson, Taiwan Chamber of Commerce Mumbai led the delegation to New Delhi. She also happens to be an Associate Advisor of the ‘Overseas Community Affair Council’ in India appointed by the Taiwan government.
Jennifer said that it was probably for the first time that a business delegation came to India from Taiwan for exploring collaboration opportunities in the field of software and information and communication technology (ICT).
According to Andrew Hsiao of Pegatron it was a positive move for the cooperation for outsourcing and customised software developer or for jointly setting up software design team.
“It is worth continuing exploring opportunities to make in India. I suggest India should organise such more international exhibitions related lifestyle products like toy fair, book fair, etc.,” said Chris Lu, a representative of Aicademy.
Sandeep Narula, Chairman, Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC), said, “IndiaSoft 2023 is turning out to be the finest edition since its inception. More than 1000 exhibitors from Electronics, Telecommunication, Information Technology will be showcasing their innovations to 600+ delegates coming from 60+ countries. In addition to that 50,000 business visitors from pan India have confirmed their visit.”
Electronics & Computer Software Export Promotion Council or ESC, is India’s apex trade promotion organization mandated to promote international cooperation in the field of electronics, telecom, and IT.
