Explore Korean Culture and Language at Hangeul Summer Camp 2023 

GURUGRAM: Global Diction Studio’s Korean Language Department is excited to announce the highly anticipated Hangeul Summer Camp: Exploring the Culture and Language of Korea. This month-long immersive camp, scheduled from May 20th to June 18th, 2023, offers participants a unique opportunity to engross themselves in Korea’s vibrant heritage and language.

The Hangeul Summer Camp is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience through a series of interactive sessions. Participants will have the chance to delve into the Korean language, history, phonetics, and various cultural aspects. With each day of the camp focusing on a specific theme, students will deepen their understanding and engage in exciting hands-on activities.

The camp’s schedule features diverse sessions, ensuring a well-rounded exploration of Korean culture and language. From learning the basics of the Korean language and its phonetics to discovering the Korean number system and exploring traditional music and short stories, participants are having an enriching and enjoyable experience.

Additionally, the camp touches on modern aspects of Korea, including the Hallyu wave, Korean dramas, and pop culture. Participants even have the opportunity to showcase their knowledge and talents through quizzes and performances. Indo-Korea Day highlights the similarities and differences between India and Korea, while Korean Food Day will tantalize taste buds with traditional Korean dishes and teach participants how to make Kimbap.

To ensure a seamless experience, Global Diction Studio has provided important guidelines and information for participants. The camp will take place every Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, and necessary stationery and items will be provided. Participants are advised to bring their own bags, water bottles, caps, face masks, and other essentials, especially during the hot weather. It is crucial for participants to inform the organizers in advance about any health problems, food allergies, or risks.

The camp schedule includes the following sessions:

Day 1 (May 20, 2023) – Introduction to the Korean language, its history, and phonetics, including basic consonants, vowels, double consonants, and compound vowels.

Day 2 (May 21, 2023) – Learn how to introduce oneself in Korean and acquire basic daily life phrases related to Korean greetings. Engage in theme-based activities.

Day 3 (May 27, 2023) – Explore the Korean number system, including native and sino counting, and learn how to ask and answer dates. Discover the weekdays and months in Korean.

Day 4 (May 28, 2023) – Colors Day: Delve into the colors of the Korean language, idioms related to colors, and engage in creative activities such as coloring notebooks and making bookmarks.

Day 5 (June 3, 2023) – Korean Folk Day: Immerse yourself in Korean short stories, traditional music (Arirang), and children’s poems.

Day 6 (June 4, 2023) – Modern Korea Day: Explore the phenomenon of the Hallyu wave, including Korean dramas and pop culture. Participate in a quiz and showcase performances.

Day 7 (June 10, 2023) – Indo-Korea Day: Discover the similarities and differences between India and Korea and learn about family in the Korean language.

Day 8 (June 11, 2023) – Korean Food Day: Delight in traditional Korean food and street food, discuss your favorite dishes, and learn how to make Kimbap.

Day 9 (June 17, 2023) – Gain insights into learning the Korean language, career opportunities, and TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) preparation.

Day 10 (June 18, 2023) – Farewell and Convocation Day: Participants will receive certificates and gifts, enjoy snacks, and celebrate with a dance.

While the camp offers an immersive and engaging experience, participants are responsible for their own belongings, and transportation to the venue is not provided. At the end of the summer camp, participants will be awarded certificates of completion to commemorate their journey into the Korean culture and language.
