Jaideep Ahuja assumes chairmanship of CII Delhi, pledges commitment to sustainable growth

New Delhi: Jaideep Ahuja, CEO & MD of Ahuja Residency P Ltd, has been elected as the Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Delhi for the term 2024-25. Ahuja, a seasoned leader in the hospitality sector, brings with him a wealth of experience and a vision for promoting sustainable growth, innovation, and collaboration within the business community.
Established in 1982, Ahuja Residences has emerged as a leading provider of diverse and quality accommodation solutions across India. After assuming his new responsibility as Chairman CII, Delhi, Mr. Ahuja expressed his commitment to addressing pressing issues facing Delhi, ranging from environment & sustainability, to tourism and hospitality, skill development, start-ups, and infrastructure development. Speaking to the Asian Community News (ACN) Network, he shared insights on key areas of focus for CII Delhi:
Environment & Sustainability: Recognizing the urgent need for environmental stewardship, Mr. Ahuja highlighted the growing concerns surrounding pollution and resource depletion in Delhi. He emphasized the importance of adopting green agendas and sustainable solutions to build a resilient future for the city.
Tourism and Hospitality: Delhi’s rich cultural heritage and diverse offerings make it a magnet for tourists from around the world. Mr. Ahuja underscored the significance of the tourism sector in driving economic growth and job creation, pledging aggressive initiatives to foster its growth and development.
Skill Development: Skill development emerged as a crucial agenda for both economic and social progress. Mr. Ahuja commended the efforts of the Delhi Government in promoting skill development through initiatives such as the Delhi Skill University and world-class skill centers. He pledged CII Delhi’s support in creating a conducive ecosystem for skill development in collaboration with the government and industry.
Start-up Ecosystem: Delhi’s burgeoning startup ecosystem presents immense opportunities for innovation and job creation. Mr. Ahuja highlighted the need for nurturing and supporting startups to thrive in the state, signaling CII Delhi’s commitment to fostering the growth of this dynamic sector.
Infrastructure Development: Infrastructure and real estate play pivotal roles in driving economic growth and urban development.
