NEW DELHI: On National Education Day, November 11, Aditya University, Andhra Pradesh, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Education Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre (TECC) in India, marking a major partnership to foster cultural and educational exchange.

This collaboration will focus on enhancing linguistic skills, particularly in Mandarin, among Aditya University students, enriching their learning experience and language skills for job opportunity.

Dr. P. S. Ranjit, Dean of International Relations at Aditya University, and Peters LY Chen, Director of the Education Division at TECC, signed the MoU in New Delhi in the presence of Baushuan Ger, Ambassador of Taiwan to India, Vijaya Koumar, CEO of Inlamobi, and key officials from TECC. This is also the first TEC project in Andhra Pradesh signed with TECC.

Under this collaboration, TECC will assist the University in recruiting Mandarin teachers who are experts in designing curriculum and evaluating Mandarin language courses. These teachers will conduct Mandarin language courses over the required semesters, helping to broaden students’ linguistic skills and cultural understanding, specifically those interested in pursuing internships and careers in Taiwan’s semiconductor and IT industries.

In return, Aditya University will provide the necessary infrastructure to accommodation and office for Taiwan Education Center on campus, where classes, seminars, and bilateral exchange programs will be conducted. It is expected that next year, some students from Aditya University will study in Taiwan with scholarships, further enhancing their educational and career prospects.

This partnership represents a significant step in strengthening educational and cultural connections between India and Taiwan. The collaboration supports Aditya University’s mission to provide a globalized educational experience. Through the integration of Mandarin language instruction and partnerships with Taiwanese institutions, students will have the opportunity to engage with diverse perspectives and academic environments.

Ambassador Baushuan Ger commented, “Thanks to recommendation by AICTE Chairman Prof. T G Sitharam, Aditya University’s participation in this initiative will strengthen educational exchange and industry collaboration between India and Taiwan. We are thrilled to introduce Mandarin instruction and cultural programs to this dynamic campus.”

The establishment of a Taiwan Education Center at Aditya University in Andhra Pradesh will serve as a hub for Mandarin language learning and cultural exchange, offering students access to unique educational resources and job opportunities for Taiwanese industries.

Celebrating this MoU on National Education Day adds even more significance to the occasion for the state of Andhra Pradesh, highlighting the commitment to advancing educational opportunities and global collaborations.
