NEW DELHI: A delegation of 12 Japanese companies, led by the Japan Management Consultants Association and Indobox Inc., embarked on an 8-day business trip to India. The delegation visited New Delhi and NCR, Hyderabad, and Mumbai, aiming to assess the business and lifestyle environment in these regions to make informed investment decisions. Almost all companies were represented by their top executives, including managing directors, presidents, and CEOs.

Kenta Tani, who represented the Japan Management Consultants Association (JMCA), stated that the delegation was inspired by the success of a similar visit to India in March earlier that year, which brought 20 Japanese companies to India. During that earlier visit, the participating companies were from diverse fields, including agriculture and farming, nurseries, auto components, and e-commerce.

“This time, we also brought the top management of Japanese companies. The participant companies showcased diverse specializations across various industries, including semiconductor manufacturing, logistics services, and financial accountancy. They also focused on residential property construction and management, document storage, and shredding services. Business consulting for medical practitioners and tax-saving strategies were also highlighted, along with retail real estate rental and computer system development,” Kenta Tani told Asian Community News (ACN) Network.

Founded in 1942, JMAC is Japan’s oldest, and remains one of its largest management consulting firms, with just over 300 management consulting professionals in Japan alone.

The list of companies also included firms involved in international business development between Japan and India, as well as travel agency services, reflecting a multifaceted business landscape. The delegation’s travel requirements were managed by Kinki Nippon Tourist Co., Ltd.
