NEW DELHI: Asian Community News (ACN) Network has bagged the coveted ‘Best Global Media Agency of the Year 2020’ award at the 14th Media Excellence Award 2020 ceremony held by the Media Federation of India in New Delhi on Saturday evening.
The award was bestowed upon Asian Community News (ACN) Network for successfully launching the all-new-concept digital news platform ASIANCOMMUNITYNEWS.COM that brings in news and views about Indo-Asian affairs with special focus on Japan, South Korea, China, and other East Asian countries.
Arun Sharma, veteran journalist and Founder & National President, Media Federation of India (MFI) handed over a trophy and citation to Sanjeev K. Ahuja, Founder, and Editor, Asian Community News (ACN) Network during a glittering ceremony on Saturday.
The event witnessed the presence of India’ well-known journalists from across the nation from states like Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, Delhi, and others.
Asian Community News (ACN) Network was founded by Sanjeev K. Ahuja who comes with over 23 years of journalism experience with India’s top national media publications like Hindustan Times where he worked on various positions like Bureau Chief and Senior Assistant Editor for 13 years.
Sanjeev K. Ahuja is a seasoned journalist who has won many awards of national and international acclaim to his credit.
The ‘Gurgaon Collapsing’ series spearheaded by him in Hindustan Times had won the International Newsmedia Marketing Association (INMA) Award at Miami, the USA in 2009. He and his team had won the Gold Star Award, the highest intra-organization award by Hindustan Times in 2008.
Sanjeev K. Ahuja also had won the “Best Bureau Chief of the Year” award by Media Federation of India in the year 2014 also. His comments have appeared on various issues in many news media platforms including The New York Times.
Other journalists who received awards in various categories during the 14th Media Excellence Award 2020 ceremony on Saturday came from various newspapers and TV channels including Aaj Tak, Zee News, Zee Hindustan, Rajya Sabha TV, Nav Bharat, TV9 Bharatvarsha, Sadhna News Channel Group, Zee Odisha, Sudarshan News, and others.
Some of the new media organizations from lesser-known and remote locations like Media Manch, Palanpur Samachar, and Azad Ptrakar were also honored for their contribution to the field of journalism.
