NEW DELHI: Gurugram, the erstwhile Gurgaon has long been known as a preferred city for the Japanese expats community, and hence earned the sobriquet of ‘Home away from Home’ for them.
This promising city, which is part of the National Capital Region, offers the comfort of home to the Japanese expatriates who find themselves cozy-fit in the world-class condominiums here.
In one such initiative, India’s realty major Central Park by Shweta Estates has announced to create a ‘Home away from home’ for the Japanese professionals at its prime property “Central Park Resorts –II ” in Sector 48, Gurugram.
Having delivered a perfect Japanese-living experience at The Room, a Japanese themed hub on Sohna Road with hundreds of Japanese professionals having lived there, the Central Park developers are up for yet another luxurious authentic Japanese experience at the Central Park Resorts – II, by the name of Alfa Block.
As the number of companies of the Japan origin continues to grow in India with their number having reached the 1454 mark, the need for Japanese-styled dwellings too has gone up in NCR towns with Gurgaon taking the lead. The number of these companies is set to grow at a faster pace as score Japanese companies are contemplating to move their production bases from China to alternation locations, and India is one of their favorite destinations. In this connection, the Government of Japan has also announced a stimulus package of $ 2.2 billion to support their relocation from China.
“Therefore, we are putting up a dedicated residential luxury tower Alfa Block keeping exclusively Japanese expats in mind at the Central Park Resorts – II. All types of requirements, its interior design has been planned also as per their likes, tastes, and habits. For this, we have appointed a Japanese company to design the property for us,” said Mr. Amarjit Bakshi, Founder & CMD, Central Park Group.
Central Park developers are a renowned group of realty
major with a significant presence in the country and especially Delhi NCR and have delivered more than 5.5 million sq. ft. across the luxury residential property in some of the most major locations in Gurugram.
Mr. Bakshi said that that there are many Japanese families staying in Central Park Resorts but the idea behind putting up an exclusive tower for them was to elevate the standard to a different level for them. Apart from the basic amenities to suit the very need of the Japanese expats, the plan involves setting up an elementary-level school too for their children here, he added.
More than 50% of the Japanese expats population of 11,000 in India resides in Delhi NCR towns especially in Gurugram because of the world-class comfort, safety, and security the upmarket condominiums offer.
When asked why a city like Gurugram held such importance for the Japanese community, Mr. Baklshi said the Japanese had a lot of inclination towards India, and they already have had a good experience of living here.
“Some of the fine examples are Maruti Suzuki, Daikin, etc., and more and more Japanese companies are working here. Our endeavor is that they shouldn’t miss their home. As all know, India offers to Japanese the value for money and we own capability of giving them all that they want in their country at a much lesser price. We want to create a home away from home for them here,” said Mr. Bakshi
The proposed Japanese-themed tower is going to have all the amenities that they can look forward to. These include Ofuro, Japanese restaurants, Bar with Japanese cuisines and liquor & Japanese tea center Ocha Shitsu, Cigar lounge, Japanese grocery store, Onsen & Spa, Japanese-styled furniture, Japanese Salon & Hairdresser, Japanese tabletop game center, Golf Simulator, Gym, Japanese Yoga Room, instructor & meditation Room, Nurses for elderly people, dedicated medical Facilities, etc.

“We are committed to making their stay at Alpha Block a better experience. Even better than what they feel in their own country,” Mr. Bakshi added.
