NEW DELHI: Tomio Isogai, a freelance advisor in Indo-Japanese relations and former Managing Director, Sharp India Ltd., has joined ACN Editorial Advisory Board – a Think Tank of experts, industry leaders, management gurus, academicians, and intellectuals from Japan, South Korea, India, and East Asian countries.

Currently a Visiting Faculty at MIT-World Peace University, Pune, Mr. Isogai comes with 37 years career at Sharp Corporation, an 100 years old Japanese electronics giant, and has spent more than 20 years out of Japan, engaged in the global sales and marketing of the company products.

Truly is a global-minded business leader with diversified experiences in more than 60 countries particularly in emerging markets. He once was a member of the Economist Forum in Dubai, U.A.E. as Managing Director of Sharp Middle East Free Zone Establishment.

An excellent orator, presenter, and showstopper, he serves as Advisor for six Indian companies and one multinational company operating in India which includes well-renowned law firm Kochhar & Co.

After Mr. Isogai retired from Sharp India in September 2016, he returned to Japan and became a member of the Ayurveda Society in Japan, Iyengar Yoga Association in Japan, the Kansai Japan India Cultural Society in Kobe, Japan, Japan-India Cultural Exchange Network in Tokyo, Japan and the 22nd Century Academy in Tokyo, Japan.

In early 2017 he returned to India and started to engage in his new endeavor to become a bridge person connecting India and Japan in commercial, academic, and cultural aspects.

Since 2017, Mr. Isogai has been invited to quite a few events and functions as a guest lecturer as well as to international conferences, seminars, and symposiums being organized by many academic institutions that include IIT-Bombay, IIM-Calcutta, and IIM-Indore.

From September 2017 till August 2019, Mr. Isogai was appointed as Adjunct Professor at Ajeenkya D.Y. Patil University in Pune to conduct his practical and inspirational lectures on Global Marketing, Cross-cultural Management, and Leadership & Team-building for its BTEC/MTEC/BBA/MBA students.

From July 2019 till January 2021, Mr. Isogai was appointed as Adjunct Faculty at MIT-ADT (Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Art, Design, and Technology) University, Pune, India to teach and coach its BBA and MBA students at the College of Management.

From July 2019 till June 2020, Mr. Isogai was appointed as a Short Term Consultant for National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), New Delhi to facilitate and support the TITP (Technical Internship Training Program) and Non-TITP programs to enhance the human resource development of the Indian talented youth and to promote the recruitment of them with decent jobs in Japan.

Since February 2021, Mr. Isogai has been appointed as a Visiting Faculty at MIT-WPU (World Peace University), Faculty of Management for its BBA and MBA students.

Throughout his career, Mr. Isogai made some 150 speeches and presentations during conferences, seminars/webinars, symposiums, and forums being organized by Indian government agencies, academics, and industry circles or private corporations both in India and Japan.
