Hyundai Motor invites Hr CM to inaugurate its new head office building in Gurgaon
Seon Seob Kim, Managing Director & CEO of Hyundai Motor India Ltd HMIL) met the Haryana CM at his residence in Chandigarh on Thursday to extend the invitation to inaugurate the newly constructed head office in Gurugram.
NEW DELHI: South Korean automaker Hyundai Motor India would soon open its Indian head office building in Gurugram (erstwhile Gurgaon) near New Delhi.
This state-of-the-art building situated just off the Delhi-Jaipur national highway in Sector 29 is likely to be inaugurated by the Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
Seon Seob Kim, the managing director & CEO of Hyundai Motor India Ltd HMIL) met the Haryana CM at his residence in Chandigarh on Thursday to formally extend the invitation to inaugurate the newly constructed head office in Gurugram. He also discussed the company’s upcoming Future Technology Project in Haryana.
However, the office of the CM is yet to finalize the date of inauguration.
The outgoing South Korean Ambassador to India Shin Bong-kil who returned to Korea on July 1 after completing three-and-a-half-year tenure in India, has already visited Hyundai’s new office in Gurgaon and was all praise for it.
During his address at the meeting with the Haryana CM organized by Asian Community News (ACN) Network on June 25, Shin bong-kil said, “Gurgaon, in particular, is one of India’s foremost business and technology hubs. Major global corporations have their corporate headquarters located in the city. Last week, I have had the opportunity to visit Hyundai’s new corporate office building in Gurgaon. From the outside, the building did not look that great but inside the building, it is a state-of-the-art set-up with all modern facilities.”
Till now, HMIL had been operating from its registered office and factory in Kanchipuram, near Chennai in Tamil Nadu.
On Thursday, Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar tweeted from his official Twitter handle, saying, “Seon Seob Kim, MD Hyundai Motors India met Chief Minister Shri Manohar Lal at Chandigarh today to discuss the upcoming Future Technology Project in Haryana. He also invited CM for the inauguration of Hyundai Motors India Headquarters.”
He further claimed. “Future Technology Project is the output of Haryana Government’s #EaseOfDoingBusiness policies for industrialists & foreign investors and it will continue to create job opportunities for the youth.”
