Hyderabad Management Association organises webinar “Act East Policy – Possible collaborative modes in Industry and Academia – Japan, Korea, Taiwan – their Sustainability

Four of the six panelists of the session were drawn from the ACN Editorial Advisory Board, and represented Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and India.

NEW DELHI: The Hyderabad Management Association (HMA) recently organised a hybrid webinar titled India’s Act East Policy – Possible collaborative modes in Industry and Academia – Japan, Korea, Taiwan – their Sustainability.

The participating experts from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and India discussed various points about the future potential of India’s relations with East Asia in commercial, academic, and cultural aspects with special emphasis on the importance of the regional languages. The SIBM Hyderabad and Lions Club of Hyderabad SDGs supported this event.

Moderated by V. Srinivasa Rao, Chairman & Managing Director BT&T Management Constancy Pvt. Ltd, the session witnessed participation of Sujata Kolekar, Senior Director, Capgemini, Pune, Tomio Isogal, Freelance Advisor in Indo-Japanese Relations, and Director Kansai Japan India Cultural Society, Prof. (Retd.) Vyjayanti Raghavan, former Chairperson of the Centre for Korean Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, Dr Eunjoo Lim, Director, Indo Korean Centre, Pune, Jennifer Makhecha, Chairperson, Taiwan Chamber of Commerce, Mumbai, Maharashtra, and Ling Ling Wu, Mandarin Teacher Pune. Sankara Venkata Krishna Prasad, CEO and Director, Cito Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. and Convener Intonational desk, HMA, along with V. Srinivasa Rao coordinated the session from MHA office.

Others who participated in the session representing HMA included V Ramchander, Vice President, and Prof (Dr.) Ravi Kumar Jain, Secretary.

Tomio Isogal who represents Japan, Prof. (Retd.) Vyjayanti Raghavan India, Dr Eunjoo Lim South Korea, and Jennifer Makhecha Taiwan are honorary members of this Asian think tank promoted by Asian Community News Network – a digital news media organisation reporting on Indo-East Asian affairs with a special focus on Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.

While speaking about the webinar India’s Act East Policy – Possible collaborative modes in Industry and Academia – Japan, Korea, Taiwan – their Sustainability, Tomio Isogai said that the panelists discussed various points about the future potential of India’s relations with the East Asia in commercial, academic and cultural aspects with special emphasis on the importance of the regional languages.

He also suggested that HMA could organize such webinars with theme revolving around Japan, South Korea and Taiwan jointly with ACN Network, which focuses on the East Asia, to contribute to upbringing India through collaborative and collective joint efforts with S. Korea, Taiwan and Japan for a long term.

Hyderabad Management Association, an affiliate of apex management association All India Management Association (AIMA) provides a platform for Managers to stay abreast of contemporary managerial practices and events shaping the profession and the emerging challenges.

Hyderabad Management Association (HMA) was conceived way back in 1964, by a dozen dedicated young managers of the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad that felt the need for developing managerial skills among young executives and spreading the message of professionalism among the practicing managers. The HMA was registered under the Societies Act on 31st March 1978.
