Education summit: Reimagining Indian Education by Global India Collaborative and College Vidya

New Delhi: With a holistic vision to help India in process of becoming Vishwa Guru, Global India Collaborative & College Vidya successfully organized an education summit on “ Reimagining Indian Education” at Le Meridian Hotel Janpath, New Delhi recently.

This summit was attended by eminent dignitaries of their respective fields such as Mr. Anil Aggarwal (Rajya sabha MP), Mr. Pratap Chandra Sarangi (Loksabha MP), IAS Ira Singhal, Mr. Firoz Bakht Ahmad (Former chancellor of National Urdu University, Hyderabad), Ved Pratap Vaidik (Chairman of Bhartiya Bhasha Sammelan), Prof Avinash Singh ( Vice Chancellor of Indo American University), Mr. Ramesh Agarwal (Agarwal Packers & Movers), and Mr. Amit Sinha ( Associate director Delhi Productivity Council).

Ms. Nidhi mazumdar, Ms Himza Rana ( founder of boss ladies), Prof Raj Kumar Mittal, ( VC of Choudhary Bansi Lal University),Prof Pankaj Gupta (Dean OCS at O P Jindal Global University), Mr Pardeep Narwal, Mr. Neil Martis, Mr. Rajesh Kumar (IIM Alumni), Khushi Khandelwal, Mr. Mayank Gupta (CEO & Founder College Vidya), and Dr Pravesh Mehra ( HOD at Lady Harding Medical College) also attended the summit and shared their valuable thoughts on the platform.

This one day summit was commenced with the welcome speech by Mr. Ashok Buwaniwala, India President – GIC followed by lightning up of the lamp.

Addressing the event Dr. Ved Pratap Vaidik said, “If we want to move ahead in the world then there are two steps : Education & Health. We could not get rid of Macauley’s education system till date, we mere become imitators of west whether it is education or something else, we have become adept at copying west.”

He emphasized more on practical knowledge and language of education must be in mother language, to arrest brain drain from India.

Firoz Bakht Ahmad said, “ Best parameter to judge the progress of any nation is education & sports.” He has firm faith in Indian education system.

Ms. Ira Singhal IAS said, “We should make modules in curriculum so that children should know their aspirations at early age, We are risk averse country due to lot of drain of wealth in British time, We need to change the mindset of society from finding job to become entrepreneur. And in any developed nation govt is not a big sector.”

Mr. Ramesh Agarwal Founder & CEO of Agarwal Packers & Movers said, “One must do job 3 to 4 years in initial stage to become discipline but we are not born to become servant, because a street vendor who sell tea he gives employment to 1+1.

Pratap Sarangi said, “ In this current scenario information is knowledge and we need to change this. Education must be value based and moral based, Character is integrated human element, without it your academic and financial excellence is nothing.”

Mr. Santosh Mangal, Global President – GIC, said, “Education is worth only if it transform mind, body & soul of a person. In Indian Gurukul system even a prince had to go to forest to get education and live in the Guru,s ashram.”

In this one day summit four sessions were held which were moderated by Ajay Jha (Ex anchor and associate Producer Network 18) and Ms. Richa Jain Kalra ( Ex anchor NDTV), and the summit was anchored by Mr Mukesh Mittal (media person).
