Japanese corporate world descends on Golden Greens Golf Club on Oct 9 to play golf: 70th Anniversary India-Japan Friendship Golf Cup

NEW DELHI: Major Japanese conglomerates including Honda, Suzuki, Sumitomo, Japan Bank (JBIC), Mitsubishi, Canon, ANA airlines (All Nippon Airways),  Toyota, Mitsui, Toray, MOL Logistics, NKC, NTT India, and others have confirmed their participation in the 70th Anniversary India-Japan Friendship Golf Cup. As many as 70 top corporate bosses including Chairmen, Managing Directors, from various Japanese companies would participate in this golfing event which is being organised on Oct 9 by Asian Community News (ACN) Network with the support of the Embassy of Japan, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in India (JCCII) to celebrate the year 2022 as the 70^th anniversary of the establishment of India-Japan diplomatic relations. About 38 Indian counterparts including industry and bureaucrats will play in the event.

Kunihiko Kawazu, Minister & Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of Japan, and Kenji Sugino, Secretary-General, JCCII would also participate in the event.

Some of the major companies dealing with Japanese corporate world including AJU Group of Hotels, PDS International, ZEUS Law,  AKARUI Centre for Japanese Language , WSF Social Enterprise are supporting this event as sponsors.  More companies can join the event as sponsors and endorsers.

A team of ACN Editorial Advisory Board led by Sanjeev K Ahuja, Editor-in-Chief, Asian Community News (ACN) Network, and Prakash Yadav, Member, ACN Editorial Advisory Board recently visited the JETRO office and met Mr. Takashi Suzuki, Chief Director-General, Mr. Yuki Sanada, Deputy Director-General, and their team to invite to the event.

Many other senior diplomats from the top government-run organisations including Niti Ayog (formerly known as Planning commission), India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited, Northern Railways, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Defence, and many others.

The one-day event that is being organised at the 18-hole Golden Greens golf Club in Gurugram would be followed by an award ceremony and networking dinner the same evening. The event offers an excellent opportunity for Indian industry leaders and bureaucrats to interact closely with top Japanese counterparts.

Early this year, the ACN also supported Japan Foundation in promoting the Japanese Film Festival 2022 (March 4-7), and carried a series of Film Reviews to create awareness among the Indian audience.

IJBC’s year-long India-Japan Japan diplomatic relations 70th Anniversary events:

The ACN tied up with Indo-Japan Business Council (IJBC) as Online Media Partner to promote year-long activities and events being planned to celebrate the year 2022 as the 70th Anniversary of the establishment of the India Japan diplomatic relations.

Namaste Japan Fest 2020, 2021, and 2022:  

The ACN has been the Media Partner with Namaste Japan Fest being held in New Delhi and Fukuoka continuously for the last three terms i.e. 2020, 2021, and 2022 for promoting this event in the Asia-Pacific region with continuous reportage. This event organizes programs on calligraphy, origami, Ikebana, Japanese Kimonos, and Yukata by artists from Japan and India.
