Yonsei University Mirae Office of Int’l Affairs, South Korea reaches India to sign MoU with Indo-Korean Center, Pune
This is the first educational association with South Korea's top-ranking Yonsei University in India that aims at promoting mutual cooperation for human resources development, education, and facility support for fostering the growth of relevant business fields.
PUNE (Maharashtra): The Indo-Korean Center (IKC) under the Youth Build Foundation in Pune, India and Yonsei University Mirae Office of International Affairs, South Korea, signed an MOU at the Indo-Korean Center on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, for educational collaboration between the two organizations.
Both the organizations through this MOU aim for Mutual cooperation for human resources development; Education and facility support for fostering the growth of relevant business field; other areas of mutual interests and projects deemed necessary for the development of both organizations; mutual cooperation in consultation and recruiting excellent students at Yonsei University Mirae Campus and IKC.
This MOU can broaden the reach of collaborations in research projects, Korean language and culture courses and exchange of human resources in the future. It can give an academic platform for the Indian general public to study in Korea.
Yonsei University is the number 1 ranking private university in South Korea and ranked 78 th in the world in the THE World University Rankings 2023 released by the global university evaluation agency The Times Higher Education, in 2022.
Indo-Korean Center (IKC) was jointly founded by Youth Build Foundation (an educational trust registered under S.R. Act 1860 & M.P.T. Act 1950) and Kiwa Consultants Pvt. Ltd. under a MOU signed on March 25th, 2021. Henceforth, the IKC has been functioning under the Youth Build Foundation through an executive order passed by the board of trustees of the foundation. IKC provides a platform to facilitate opportunities for the general public and to connect Indian & Korean people.
During the MoU signing ceremony, the IKC was represented by Dr.Eunjoo Lim (Director of IKC) and the management of the Youth Build Foundation consisting of Dr. Pradeep Bavadekar (Chairman and Managing Trustee of the Youth Build Foundation), Aditya Bavadekar (Joint Director of IKC, CEO of MIMA Institute of Management), Sanjib Ghatak (Co-founder of IKC, Managing Director of Kiwa Consultants Pvt. Ltd.).
Yonsei University officials from Mirae Office of International Affairs were represented by Ms. Junghyun Lee (Head coordinator), Taehong Seo and Jin Ryu.
Earlier, on 31st October 2022, the Indo-Korean Center officials under the IKC’s edu tour from Pune to Korea, visited the Yonsei University Mirae campus in South Korea and met the officials of the international affairs division. A detailed and extensive discussion came to a successful conclusion with this joint initiative.
