ACN Advisory Board inducts 3 new members, sets agenda for 2025

The Board focused on strengthening regional collaboration across Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and India, while discussing key initiatives and expansion plans for the year.

New Delhi – As the world steps into 2025 with renewed hopes and aspirations, the Asian Community News Network (ACN) Network commenced the year with a forward-looking note by inducting new members during a strategic ACN Advisory Board meeting convened in New Delhi recently. This crucial meeting witnessed participation of key figures including diplomats, industry leaders, and entrepreneurs from Japan, Korea, Taiwan and India.

The meeting took place at the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in India (JCCII) office, a key institution representing over 550 Japanese companies in the Delhi NCR region. ACN is a proud member of JCCII.

Besides, discussing the future course of action and setting the agenda for the year 2025, the meeting also welcomed new Advisory Board members ­- Sr. Jagdip Singh, Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Korea (North India) and Chairman of SIGMA Group of Companies, Sunil Tyagi, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of ZEUS Law, and Dr. KIM Moon Young, Assistant Professor at SolBridge International School of Business, Korea, and former MD of KOTRA, South Asia, New Delhi.

The gathering focused on strengthening regional collaboration across Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and India, while discussing key initiatives and expansion plans for the coming year.

The agenda of the meeting included a detailed introduction to ACN Advisory Board and its activities, where board members were briefed on ACN’s objectives and ongoing initiatives aimed at fostering stronger ties across Asia.

Discussions revolved around fostering cultural and business collaboration among member countries, including Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and India. Plans were set in motion to organize the Asian Unity Golf Cup 2025, scheduled for February 22, with participation from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Vietnam, and Thailand.

The board also explored strategies to expand its member base and induct new members from diverse sectors. A collective roadmap was drawn to guide ACN’s activities throughout the year and beyond, setting the stage for impactful initiatives and long-term strategic engagement.

The meeting brought together esteemed leaders from various industries and organizations, both in-person and virtually.

Among those present were Euy Don Park, President of the Federation of Korean Associations in India and Vice President of the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KOCHAM), KIM Moon Young, Professor at SolBridge International School of Business, Korea, and former MD of KOTRA, South Asia, New Delhi, who joined virtually from Korea, Sr. Jagdip Singh, Honorary Consul General of Korea, Chandigarh, and Chairman of SIGMA Group of Companies, Suresh Chukkapalli, Honorary Consul General of Korea, Telangana, who joined virtually from Hyderabad, Prakash Yadav, Founder of AJU Group of Japanese Hotels, Peters Li-ying Chen, Assistant Representative and Director of Education at the Ministry of Education of Taiwan, ROC, and Assistant Representative at Taiwan’s Taipei Economic and Cultural Center (TECC), and Ms. Jennifer Makhecha (Tseng, Hsiao-Li), Chairperson of the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce Mumbai (TCCM), who joined virtually from Mumbai.

Miyamoto Tomoyo, Senior Secretary, JCCII and Ms. Yuka Tsurumaru, Secretary, JCCII also attended the meeting.

With a robust agenda in place, the Advisory Board is poised to drive impactful initiatives throughout 2025 and beyond.
