FARRUKHNAGAR, INDIA—In a move poised to transform the historic town of Farrukhnagar, Haryana Cabinet Minister for Industry, Commerce, Environment, Forest and Wildlife, Rao Narbir Singh, announced an ambitious development agenda here on Saturday evening. Addressing a gathering during the key-handing ceremony for new homeowners at SHF Homes in Sector 3 under the Deen Dyal Jan Awaas Yojna, Singh revealed a series of infrastructure projects that promise to radically improve rail and road connectivity under the state’s five-year plan (Panchvarshiye Yojna).

Launched in the year 2022 by the developers SHF Square at the even acres of land, the project was also praised by one and all for the timely delivery of the housing units to the buyers.

Flanked by Farrukhnagar Municipal Council Chairman Beerbal Saini and SHF Homes Promoters Dr. Harish Yadav and Dr. Suman Yadav, Singh underscored the government’s priority to connect Farrukhnagar with neighboring towns and beyond. A strategic rail network will soon link Farrukhnagar with Jhajjar, enabling seamless travel further into Hisar, Rohtak, and eventually Delhi. Additionally, the existing bypass will be extended to form a ring road around the town, a measure expected to not only ease local traffic but also spur economic growth.

Singh acknowledged ongoing traffic woes, particularly around Dhankot and Chandu Budhera, where school buses and commuters face persistent jams. To alleviate these bottlenecks, two new bypass roads will be constructed starting this year, with a completion goal set for next year.

Farrukhnagar, which is Singh’s political constituency, has long been recognized for its historical significance. With increased government support, the town is poised to become a major hub for commerce, residential living, and public amenities. Singh outlined plans for developing better educational institutions, community centers, and modern commercial facilities, all aimed at attracting private investment and improving quality of life.

“The government’s focus is on holistic development,” Singh said, emphasizing that enhanced connectivity and robust infrastructure will create new opportunities for both businesses and residents. He added that the town’s growth under the Panchvarshiye Yojna will draw “a horde of real estate developers” eager to offer world-class housing and commercial projects.

As the projects take shape, residents of Farrukhnagar eagerly anticipate an era of unprecedented growth and modernization. Many say this evolution is long overdue for this historically rich but infrastructure-challenged region.

The cabinet minister also praised the project manager, Ms. Flora Rao, for developing a state-of-the-art infrastructure project with a modern design and amenities for the comfort of home dwellers.
