Best Global Media Agency in Asia-Pacific 2021 award goes to Asian Community News (ACN) Network
The award recognizes relentless and meaningful coverage of Indo-Asian affairs with a special focus on Japan, South Korea, and other East Asian nations by ACN.
NEW DELHI: Second year in a row, Asian Community News (ACN) Network has won the coveted ‘Best Global Media Agency in Asia-Pacific 2021’ award at the 15th Media Excellence Award 2021 ceremony organized by the Media Federation of India in New Delhi on Saturday evening.
Last year in 2020 too, the Asian Community News (ACN) Network had bagged this award in the Global News Agency category.
The award was bestowed upon Asian Community News (ACN) Network for successfully launching the all-new-concept newswire service WWW.ASIANCOMMUNITYNEWS.COM in the presence of Ramdas Athwale Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment and Rajya Sabha MP and President of Republican Party of India, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder, Noida Film City and Marwah Studios and Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT), and Shiv Bhattia, Media Advisor to the 2-time former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
Arun Sharma, veteran journalist and Founder & National President, Media Federation of India (MFI) and journalists and other dignitaries from the mass media and public relations world from across India were also present during the Award ceremony that took place at the Indian Medical Association (IMA) auditorium, New Delhi.
Established in 2006 to promote their work and the core journalistic values, the Media Federation of India (MFI) is a federation of journalists and their associations across the nation. It represents over 15000 journalists and 20 journalist and news-media associations across the country.
Sanjeev K Ahuja, Founder, and Editor-in-Chief received the award on behalf of the Asian Community News (ACN) Network that brings news and views about Indo-Asian affairs with a special focus on Japan, South Korea, China, and other East and Southeast Asian countries.
The event witnessed the presence of India’ journalists from across from states like Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, Delhi, and others.
Asian Community News (ACN) Network was founded by Sanjeev K. Ahuja who comes with over 24 years of journalism experience with India’s top national media publications like Hindustan Times where he worked on various positions like Bureau Chief and Senior Assistant Editor for 13 years. Prior to this, he also worked with The Pioneer, an English Daily for five years.
Sanjeev K. Ahuja is a seasoned journalist who has many awards of national and international acclaim to his credit.
It was during his tenure with Hindustan Times when this newspaper had won the International Newsmedia Marketing Association (INMA) Award at Miami, the USA in 2009. He and his team had won the Gold Star Award, the highest intra-organization honour by Hindustan Times in 2008.
Mr. Ahuja also had won the “Best Bureau Chief of the Year” award by the Media Federation of India in the year 2014 also when he was with Hindustan Times.
Other journalists who received awards in various categories during the 15th Media Excellence Award 2020 ceremony on Saturday came from various newspapers and TV channels including Aaj Tak, Zee News, Zee Hindustan, Rajya Sabha TV, Nav Bharat, TV9 Bharatvarsha, Sadhna News Channel Group, Zee Odisha, Sudarshan News, and others.
