BTS arrival story gets over 100,000 hits on ACN within hours; K-pop Army across India, South Asia super excited

NEW DELHI: Asian Community News’s “Cheers K-pop fans! BTS Coming to India first on its next world tour” article published recently has evoked humongous response from lakhs of K-pop fans, not only from India but also from surrounding countries like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Pakistan, and surprisingly from UAE also besides the USA.

Within 30 hours of being published, the BTS story was read by over 100,000 K-pop lovers from across the Asian sub-continent proving very well the tremendous fan-following the Korean pop group BTS enjoys in this region.

Feedback from scores of Asian Community News (ACN) readers from across India and surrounding countries started pouring in with cheering remarks, and their joy had had no limit when they got to know of the imminent arrival of BTS to India. Many had tears of joy in their eyes.

With tears in eyes, Khushboo wrote, “I am so…so…so excited, I really love BTS, and I am glad to be one of the armies. Seriously it will be a great opportunity to see them in India which seemed impossible. I am filled with joy after hearing it also with tears… Borahe ….BTS…..And everyone who supports K-pop in India and who understands how precious BTS is to the desi army… Borahe…. for all efforts.”

In her response, another K-pop lover Supriya wrote, “After seeing this news I’m very happy rn……………And now I’m praying to God that please end this pandemic ASAP……because I can’t wait to see my OPPAs in real-life……. Saranghae BTS……BORAHAE.”

The outgoing director of the Korean Cultural Centre in India (KCCI) Kim Kum Pyoung had indicated in his exit video message to the Indian K-pop fans recently, “I am sure that you will meet BTS right after Corona pandemic. I am sure that India will be the first destination for BTS on their next round of world tour.”

Another ACN reader, Richa said, I’m so so so so soo excited……to see BTS…N I have no words to say how happy I’m getting after seeing that news.”

Many of the K-pop fans, however, are concerned whether the BTA would arrive in India in which state, in South, North, East, or West part of the country.  There was a stiff competition witnessed in their remarks as they want the band to come to their states.

“I want them to come here too but I’d want them to look a little at the South too,” said Nakshathra Elangovan who probably lives in one of the Southern India states.

On the contrary, Aditi from North Indian state says, “I am so happy that they will be coming to India someday, I have waited for them like forever! But I hope they come to Delhi and the north because going south will be very difficult for me since I am still a high schooler.”

K-pop fans from neighboring countries have echoed their concern and urged the BTS group to consider going to their country first.

Kimlaila who is from Bangladesh, wrote, “Why don’t they come in Bangladesh?”, whereas Dinodya wanted BTS in Sri Lanka.

“Glad to hear that. Want them to see in Sri Lanka too,” Dinodya wrote in her response to ACN.

Borahae from Nepal, wrote, “I am really happy for the Indian army….. but I wish they can also visit Nepal. For this year my wish is that the end of this pandemic and to meet my favourite band BTS. I know it is really an impossible thing for them coming to Nepal but still, I pray to God daily. Lots of love from all Nepali Army.”

Kim Min Hyun: It is good that BTS is coming, but I want EXO to come because they are also as famous as BTS is and they are more cute than BTS members.

In the beginning, I used to watch Chinese dramas and once, while watching one of them, Anyways I hope that I could meet The BTS and get an autograph probably after I reach my 20s or 25s when I get a chance.
