CII-Nihon Edutech achieves milestone: Sends 300 plus Indian skilled youths to Japan
Having placed more than 300 youths from across India with various companies in Japan as technical interns, it is now sourcing youths from Gurgaon and surrounding cities, to send them to Japan as skilled manpower.
NEW DELHI: India’s apex trade promotion body Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in consortium with Nihon Edutech Private Limited (CII-Nihon), a leading Sending Organization in Japan Technical Intern Training Program (TITP), has achived a milestone in its efforts to promote Japan jobs and opportunities to the Indian youth. Through its persistent efforts to promote and train in the Japanese language and strategic relationships, CII-Nihon Edutech has successfully trained and sent more than 300 talented technical intern trainees from India to Japan, marking a remarkable achievement in the TITP program.
“Keeping in mind the enormous job opportunities for Indian youths in Japan, we are identifying youths in Gurugram, Haryana as well as in Delhi NCR and other cities across India, training them to place in Japan.As a new initiative, we have tied up with AJU Group of Japanese Hotels and established Japanese language and on-site practical skills training facilities in their nine hotels across India,” said Sougata Roy Choudhury, Executive Director, Skill Development, Affirmative Action, Rural Development, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
The TITP program, under the auspices of the Government of India and Government of Japan MoC, aims to provide Indian youth with invaluable hands-on experience and exposure to advanced technologies and work processes in one of the world’s most innovative nations, Japan. Along with the Specific Skill Worker (SSW) Visa and other high-skill visas for engineers and IT professionals, Japan offers several avenues for young Indians, who are willing to learn the language and adapt to their culture, to build their careers.
Under the CII-Nihon Edutech comprehensive training program, selected candidates undergo an intensive curriculum designed to enhance their language and technical skills, develop their professional capabilities, and cultivate a deep understanding of Japanese work culture. The program equips them with the necessary tools and knowledge to excel in their respective fields in Japan and become valuable assets to the future India and global workforce.
CII-Nihon said a joint statement that around 310 technical intern trainees have been sent (or selected and under Visa processing) in the TITP category. Along with 36+ candidates in the SSW category and around 10+ in our fledgling IT / Engineer category visas we have reached 350+ to date.
“This milestone is a testament to our commitment to nurturing talent and facilitating cross-country learning experiences that contribute to the growth of both individuals and the industry as a whole”, said Sougata Roy Choudhury.
“We are thrilled to celebrate this milestone of training and sending 300+ talented technical interns to Japan,” said Krishnan Narayanan, CEO of Nihon Edutech. “Apart from our primary training centre in Chennai, we have started 2 integrated centres for Japanese and technical training, one in Delhi catering to service sector occupations like care workers, accommodation and food processing services and another in Tirunelveli for engineering and agriculture related occupations”.
Bhavna Srikrishna Chopra, GM & Head, Skill Development, CII, said that since sending the first-ever batch of TITP from India to Japan in early 2018, CII-NIHON EDUTECH, have worked tirelessly with government agencies, industry partners and several educational institutions to ensure the success of this endeavour.
“With an enhanced training capacity to accommodate 500~800 individuals annually, they are absolutely committed to see this grow further, as Japan looks more towards India for its talent needs,” she added.
Prakash Yadav, Founder and Managing Director of AJU Group of Japanese Hotels said that from now on the potential candidates would be trained at the group’s hotel facilities across India in cities like Gurugram, Neemrana, Ahmedabad etc to impart them practical on-site training to them to develop them able and effective skilled workers in hospitality sector.
