NEW DELHI: Gurugram is all set to host the “70th Anniversary India-Japan Friendship Golf Cup” on Sunday, October 9 to celebrate the year 2022 as the 70th anniversary of the establishment of India-Japan diplomatic relations. Being supported by the Embassy of Japan, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in India (JCCII), this one-day golfing event would witness the participation of 70 Japanese corporate honchos, and diplomats. As many as 38 senior executives from Indian companies, and top bureaucrats from Haryana and the central government will play golf with their Japanese counterparts.
The “70th Anniversary India-Japan Friendship Golf Cup”, which is being organised by Asian Community News (ACN) Network (www.asiancommunitynews.com) will be inaugurated by the Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Singh Chautala.
Kunihiko Kawazu san, Minister & Deputy Chief of Mission, and Charge d’affairs Ad Interim, Embassy of Japan, and Kenji Sugino, Secretary-General, Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in India (JCCII) will also join the 70th Anniversary India-Japan Friendship Golf Cup.
Shigekazu Suenaga, Chairman, Toray Industries (India), and Kenichiro Toyofuku, Director, Maruti Suzuki India would also participate in this grand golfing event which is turning out to become a symbol of friendship between India and Japan.
Many other senior diplomats from the top government-run organisations including Niti Ayog (formerly known as Planning commission), India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited, Northern Railways, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Defence, and many others.
The one-day event that is being organised at the 18-hole Golden Greens golf Club in Gurugram would be followed by an award ceremony and networking dinner the same evening.
Joonhwa Bin, Managing Director, Southwest Asia, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), a trade promotion arm of the government of Republic of Korea (South Korea) will also participate in the event. He also happens to be the Honorary Editorial Advisory Board Member constituted by the organisor of this event Asian Community News (ACN) Network. Ambassador of Mongolia H.E. Ganbold Dambajav from the Embassy of Mongolia in New Delhi will also attend the event as a very Special Guest.

The 70th Anniversary India-Japan Friendship Golf Cup aims to contribute and be a part of the ongoing 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Japan.
It also aims at creating awareness among the Indian government, bureaucracy, and corporate world (especially the SMEs) about the importance of affinity with the Japanese counterparts. Other objectives include promoting Incubation for Japanese small and medium enterprises in India, promoting collaborations between Japanese and Indian companies, promoting skilling in India for AI artificial intelligence, automation, and soft skilling, Indo-Japanese ties both in the commercial and cultural domains, and also to contribute to the development of Japanese business in northeast India.
Major Japanese conglomerates including Honda, Suzuki, Sumitomo, Mitsubishi, Canon, ANA airlines (All Nippon Airways), Mitsui, Toray, Standard Chartered Bank, MOL Logistics, NKC, NTT India, and others have confirmed their participation in the 70th Anniversary India-Japan Friendship Golf Cup.
Senior Indian government and public sector undertaking (PSU) functionaries representing Niti Ayog, Invest India (Japan Plus), Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), Container Corporation India Limited (CCIL), International Infrastructure Finance Corporation Limited (IIFCL), Income Tax Department, Ministry of Defence, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), and others would participate in the event.
