Gurugram, India: The Sports Health & Fitness Club, under the aegis of the Faculty of Physiotherapy, SGT University, successfully organized an expert talk on “Sports Psychology for Athletes”, aimed at deepening the understanding of psychological aspects in sports performance and rehabilitation. The event brought together MPT and BPT students, alongside esteemed faculty members, fostering an enriching environment for learning and professional growth.
The distinguished resource person for the event was Dr. Garry Kuan, Associate Professor at the School of Health Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia. Dr. Kuan, a well-known expert in sports psychology, provided valuable insights into how athletes respond to performance pressure and the physiological impact of stress on muscles. Through real-life case studies and interactive discussions, he engaged the audience, offering practical strategies to manage psychological challenges in competitive sports.
The seminar was spearheaded by the Sports Health and Fitness Club, with leadership from Dr. Pooja Anand (Dean), Dr. Sajjan Pal (HOD), and Dr. Harsirjan Kaur (Assistant Professor), under the aegis of Dr. G.
