Explore Japanese Culture and Opportunities at KNOW JAPAN 2024
Co-Hosted by the Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai and PCCOE, the Two-day event in Pune will feature cultural demonstrations, educational sessions, and career opportunities in Japan.
PUNE (Maharashtra): The Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai, in collaboration with PCET’s Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCOE), Pune, will host KNOW JAPAN 2024, a two-day event dedicated to promoting Japanese culture, education, and career opportunities in Japan. The event is scheduled for 13th and 14th October 2024 at the Auditorium Hall, Architecture Building, PCCOE.
Organized by PCCOE’s International Relations Cell and the Japan Facilitation Center, the event will offer attendees a comprehensive understanding of Japan’s vibrant culture, educational prospects, and career pathways. It promises to be an engaging platform for students, professionals, and Japan enthusiasts alike, featuring a mix of cultural demonstrations, interactive sessions, and informative presentations.
On Day 1, the event will kick off with an overview of the MEXT Scholarships, presented by HAMURO Megumi, Consul from the Culture and Information Section at the Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai. This will be followed by a session on internship opportunities in Japan, conducted by Ms. Swati Bhagat from Proceed Technologies. A captivating live demonstration of Ikebana, the traditional Japanese art of flower arrangement, will be led by Mrs. Arundhati Deshpande. In addition, there will be a session dedicated to the study of the Japanese language, alongside presentations on Origami and the intricate art of Bonsai.
On Day 2, the focus will shift towards practical learning, beginning with a session on the elementary steps for learning Japanese, presented by Dr. Hari Damle, a founding member of JALTAP. This will be followed by insightful discussions on internship and career opportunities in Japanese companies, presented by Mr. Sameer Laghate and other industry experts. The day’s activities will also include a presentation on Japanese industry requirements and job market expectations, featuring representatives from Seimitsu Factory Automation Pvt. Ltd and Fidel Technologies.
The event promises to offer a unique opportunity for participants to immerse themselves in Japan’s cultural heritage while gaining valuable insights into educational and professional opportunities in the country.
