Gurugram entrepreneur Yatin Ghai assumes his charge as Independent Director, HSIIDC
HSIIDC Chairman and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Haryana V Umashankar, IAS inducted Yatin Ghai into the Board. A notification to announce the appointment of Yatin Ghai as an Independent Director was issued on August 9 in Chandigarh.
NEW DELHI: Gurugram-based well-known young entrepreneur Yatin Ghai was formally inducted into the Board of state’s elite industry development organisation Haryana State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) as an Independent Director by its Chairman and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Haryana V Umashankar, IAS on September 2.
With this the two-year serving period as Independent Director HSIIDC began on Friday.
Vikas Gupta IAS, Managing Director, HSIIDC was also present on the occasion along with other top authorities of this apex state government department.
Immediately after assuming his new responsibility, Yatin Ghai spoke to media persons.
While interacting with the Chandigarh press, he said, “Today as I step in as Independent Director at HSIIDC, I am glad to be a part of this elite organization. Thank you so much for the warm welcome to all family members of HSIIDC and especially to Mr. V Umashankar ji IAS, Principal Secretary to CM Haryana, and Mr. Vikas Gupta IAS, MD HSIIDC. I look forward to contribute to the organisation in all my abilities.”
A notification to announce the appointment of Yatin Ghai as an Independent Director HSIIDC was issued by the Haryana government on August 9 in Chandigarh.
Other Board of Directors of HSIIDC include Anand Mohan Sharan, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary to Government Haryana, Industries and Commerce Department, Mrs. G. Komal Kishore, IRS, Secretary Finance, and Member Secretary, Government of Haryana, T L Satyaprakash, DG, Town and Country Planning, and Shekhar Vidyarthi, DG, Industries and Commerce, and DG, MSME.
Other Independent Directors inducted in the Board include Shammi Bansal, Industrialist, Liberty Shoes, Karnal, Shiven Tandon, Chartered Accountant, Chandigarh, Sehjvir Singh Brar, Businessman, Chandigarh, and Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor Panjab University, Sector-14, Chandigarh
Established in 1967, the HSIIDC is a wholly owned company by the State of Haryana. It functions under the aegis of the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Haryana.
The objects of the HSIIDC include inter-alia, the development of industrial infrastructure of the State and acquiring lands for integrated industry townships/parks including housing and related social, institutional, recreational and commercial infrastructure essential for promotion and growth of industry in the state of Haryana and develop them suitably.
