“The humans of corporates own the power to transform the nation with their hard work but they are caught in the vicious cycle of the high level of professional needs and expectations, and hence lead to a stressed life. They need compassion and self-confidence as they are the people who dream big and has the potential to realize these dreams,” says India-born Nupur Tewari, who has been living in Japan for the last 16 years.

Nupur Tewari runs Heal Tokyo project in Tokyo where she teaches Yoga in companies, university & school campuses and at international events, and also holds motivational sessions without charging the participants anything at various places in Japan.

“We focus on the core problems of people in Japan and India. Education and work stress being the core problems in both the countries, Heal Tokyo and Healindya are unique ways of addressing them at once.  The participants feel physically and mentally rejuvenated through yoga and meditation techniques,” she added.

While elaborating about the ‘Rejuvenating Self’ program for corporates, Nupur said it was categorized in three schedules – one-day, three-day and five-day with two hours daily.

“The one-day program includes meditation, motivation, and yoga, the two-day program offers adds specially designed group games in addition to the previous package offerings and the five-day program has additional Japanese Work Style capsule. However, all that comes with a certain cost as the same would be used for the philanthropic and noble cause of imparting education to the underprivileged children in India,” said Nupur.

As the proceed coming from corporate citizens is scheduled to be used for education to underprivileged children, the corporates are actually contributing to the nation-building indirectly.

Heal Tokyo has already been running a school offering free education to children in Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh with the help of voluntary contributions collected from various yoga and meditation programs in Japan.

“The revenue generated from ‘Rejuvenating Self’ program in India will be used to set up more such schools offering free education to the underprivileged across India,” Nupur added.

Nupur who has been an ambassador of tourism in the Kyushu region of Japan, is a multi-faceted personality and has been involved in hosting multiple TV and cultural shows in Japan.

Nupur believes in positivity and charm, and that made her realize her own dream of doing movies, dramas and fashion shows. “I am a doer and serene believer of empowering the society through love and positivity,” she says.
