New Delhi, India – As India prepares for FY 2026, policymakers, economists, and industry leaders will come together to analyze the country’s evolving macroeconomic trends, financial markets, foreign direct investment (FDI), and trade policies. The 2nd Korea-India Future Economy and Industry Forum (KI-FEIF), organized by the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) – Delhi Office, will serve as a key platform to explore these crucial economic issues on March 20, 2025, at The Studio, The Grand Hotel, New Delhi.

The forum will bring together key stakeholders, including government officials, academics, researchers, and representatives from both the public and private sectors, to discuss policy shifts, investment opportunities, and potential economic challenges in the coming fiscal year. This event will also facilitate deeper engagement in India-Korea economic cooperation, highlighting areas for collaboration in trade and investment.

The event will begin with opening remarks by Dr. Choongjae Cho, Director of KIEP’s Delhi Office, followed by congratulatory remarks from Lee Seung-Ho, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to India.

The first session, “India’s Economic Outlook and Currency Dynamics for FY 2026,” will examine key economic indicators, with insights from Dr. Pravakar Sahoo (NITI Aayog), Dr. Bornali Bhandari (NCAER), and Kunal Sodhani (Shinhan Bank). Discussions will cover India’s macroeconomic conditions, exchange rate fluctuations, and the impact of U.S. policy changes under former President Donald Trump on India’s financial markets.

Following a short coffee break, the second session, “Changing Trade and FDI Policies in FY 2026,” will focus on trade regulations, investment trends, and the future of FDI in India. The session will feature Santosh Kumar Sarangi (Ministry of Commerce, GOI) and Bhunvesh Pratap Singh (DPIIT, GOI), who will share their perspectives on how India’s trade landscape is shifting and what new opportunities lie ahead.

The forum will conclude with closing remarks, followed by a networking lunch, providing attendees with the opportunity to engage in discussions on future economic collaboration between India and South Korea.

As India continues to position itself as a major player in global trade and investment, this forum will provide valuable insights into the economic policies shaping FY 2026. The event highlights the growing importance of India-South Korea relations, reinforcing economic ties and paving the way for future partnerships.
