Over 100 pieces of contemporary artwork by 36 Taiwanese artists and professors across three generations are displayed at the online exhibition. It encompasses oil painting, modern ink wash painting, mixed media, sculpture, digital art, new media art, and installation art. It is expected that Indo-Taiwan cross-cultural collaborations such as this will benefit art communities to have more inspiring works in the future.
The Education Division, TECC has been working relentlessly for many years to encourage the Indo-Taiwan educational exchanges. With the help of this exhibition, it also hopes to connect the Indian art community, the colleges of fine arts, and related organizations to Taiwan’s art community, their artists, and professors to inspire innovation and encourage more cooperation between the two nations in the future.
Taiwan is one of the major hubs for study in the fields of science and technology. 80% of Indian students studying in Taiwan in 2019 were from the IT sector and Engineering. With the help of the Exhibition, the Education Division aims to encourage students from the fields of Arts, Humanities, Social science, and Business to consider Taiwan to pursue their further studies so that many more projects like this could be carried on in the future with participation from both the sides.
