Jaipur National University joins hands with Media Federation of India for International Training
JAIPUR: Jaipur National University has entered into an MoU with the Media Federation of India for national-international level training, industry-focused internship, and placement coordination in newspapers and television channels for students studying in journalism and mass communication courses.
The agreement was signed by Pro-Chancellor Prof. H. N. Verma on behalf of JNU and Arun Sharma, National President for the Media Federation of India during a special ceremony held at JNU on Tuesday. Prof. R.L. Raina, Vice-Chancellor JNU thanked MFI and presented a memento to Arun Sharma. On this occasion, National Secretary of Media Federation of India Amita Sharma, State President of MFI Anandpal Singh Tomar, Director of School of Media Studies JNU Prof. Dr. Sachin Batra and HOD Dr. Sanjay Kumar Srivastava were also present.

Representing over 15,000 journalists across 24 states in India, the MFI has been actively organizing media-related events and activities across the country Since 2007, and it is widely known for its flagship annual event ‘Media Excellence Awards’, which is the most appreciated and coveted event. Recently MFI inked a pact with Russian media house Sputnik to promote cross-border exchange and cooperation in news-media sphere.
In his address, JNU Chancellor Dr. Sandeep Bakshi said that JNU is committed to the training and placement of its students at national and international levels. He said that JNU has always been in first place in terms of its academic concerns, that’s why we have always been at the forefront in terms of placements.
The most important reason for this is that JNU has been the university with maximum collaboration and tie-up for the education and training of students. Expressing hope, Dr. Bakshi said that after the agreement with the Media Federation of India, JNU media students will get training and placement support in various states of the country. Along with this, JNU will also organize many national and international programs in partnership with the Media Federation.
On the occasion of the agreement between the two, the National President of the Media Federation of India, Arun Sharma expressed his gratitude to JNU Chancellor Dr. Sandeep Bakshi and said that Dr. Sandeep is a strong-willed and skilled leader and Media Federation’s partnership with JNU is for training and education will create a milestone for spreading media literacy.
