Jan 12: Musashino University Prof Sato Hiroyuki to speak on “Interpretation of Vedanta by Swami Vivekananda” in Tokyo
Celebration of the 160th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda at the embassy of India in Japan
TOKYO: Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Embassy of India, Japan is celebrating the 160th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda at the embassy of India in Tokyo on January 12, 2023. Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, President, Indian Council for Cultural Relations ICCR), is also likely to join the event.
The special attraction of the event will be Dr. Sato Hiroyuki, a professor at the Musashino University, Tokyo who will deliver a speech on “Interpretation of Vedanta by Swami Vivekananda” on this occasion.
Dr. Sato Hiroyukiis is credited with the noble work of translation of the Indian holy Hindu scripture Bhagavad Gita, into the Japanese language, Having done the Japanese translation of Subhadra Kumari Chauhan’s “Jhansi ki Rani” and the Theory of the Origination of the Universe in Indian Philosophy: Special Reference to the Vedanta paribhasa, Satou Hiroyuki is the first Japanese native to translate Bhagwad Gita into Japanese language, has been associated with the School of Distance Learning, Department of Human Sciences, Musashino University in Tokyo since 2016.
