NEW DELHI: The Japan Travel Fair, organized by the Japan National Tourism Organization’s Delhi Office, is currently unfolding for its second day at Pacific Mall Tagore Garden, New Delhi. Starting on September 28th and continuing today, September 29th, 2024, the fair is showcasing the wonders of Japan to Indian travelers.
Visitors are exploring Japan’s top attractions, from its rich cultural heritage and innovative technology to breathtaking landscapes, unmatched hospitality, and the unique flavors of Japanese cuisine.
The JNTO’s event is aiming to raise awareness about Japan as a prime tourist destination, especially for Indian families, highlighting the diverse experiences that await travelers—from autumnal colors and powder snow to pristine beaches and thrilling theme parks.
With more than ten leading tourism exhibitors, the fair is celebrating the “India-Japan Year of Tourism Exchange Year” by immersing attendees in the essence of Japanese tourism and culture.
This travel fair is not only informing people about Japan’s offerings but is also being held as part of the larger “Mela! Mela! Anime Japan!!” event, a collaborative effort between the Embassy of Japan in India, various administrative agencies, and private companies.
The “Mela! Mela! Anime Japan!!” is enhancing the experience by blending cultural tourism with the vibrant world of anime, drawing crowds eager to explore all aspects of Japan.
With September and October 2024 designated as ‘Japan Month,’ the focus is extending beyond tourism to strengthen bilateral relations between India and Japan in areas like politics, security, economics, and culture. Various events, including trade shows, seminars, and exhibitions, are being organized to foster closer ties and create opportunities for deeper people-to-people exchanges.
The Japan Travel Fair is continuing to run until 8 p.m. today, with free entry for all. Families, solo travelers, and adventure enthusiasts alike are gathering to plan their next trip to Japan, inspired by the myriad attractions and opportunities being showcased.
