Japanese Co helps Niramaya mobile eye care – Drishti Rath to resume its services
Donates a full-size mobile van to run the charitable eye testing initiative in and around Gruugram for the poor.
GURUGRAM: The widely known in and around 60km radius of Gurugram for its charitable yet advanced integrated eye care services for the downtrodden and poor, the Niramaya Mobile care services will hit the road again after a little halt this Sunday on June 3.
Drishti Rath – the mobile eye testing service run by Niramaya Charitable Trust runs on a mobile van costing about Rs. 25 lakhs, which a Japanese company Svam Toyal Packaging Industries Pvt. Ltd has donated.
Equipped with advanced technologies including Auto Refractometer, Non Contact Tonometer, trial lens box, I-chart LCD for vision, Slit Lamp, etc. Drishti Rath will be rolled out formally on Sunday in Gurugram in the presence of the company’s President and Managing Director Katsura (Kei) Morioka and Chairman Satish Ailawadi, Dr. Virender Yadav, Civil Surgeon and CMO, Gurugram, BR Sikri, Vice Chairman, CSR Trust, Haryana, and widely revered Swami Dharam Dev ji.
According to Dr. Trilok Nath Ahooja, President, Niramaya Charitable Trust the Drishti Rath had been running its charitable services in a full-sized van donated by Concern India Foundation since 2012.
“However, sicne the diesel vehicle cannot run for more than 10 years in Delhi NCR, we had no other option but to discontinue this as the vehicle had attained its full life. Now that Swam Toyal has donated us a mobile van, we have installed all the necessary equipment on it and are going to resume its services in Sunday,” Dr. Ahooja added.
Niramaya Charitable Trust is a nationally recognized charitable trust, and was established in Gurgaon in January 2004. Presently Niramaya is serving in the four districts of south Haryana and has extended its reach beyond south Haryana.

Earlier too last year, the Niramaya Charitable Trust had caught the attention of a Japanese 2-wheeler maker giant Suzuki Motorcycle that has donated three patient transport vehicles for community eye care and eye banking to it.
Suzuki Motorcycle India, the subsidiary of Japanese auto giant Suzuki Motor had donated 20 ambulances (patient transport vehicles) to many social organizations (NGOs) including Niramaya at a ceremony held at the Gurdwara Bala Sahib, New Delhi in April 2021.
The Trust is involved integrated eye care for the rural and urban poor and eye donation issue in the context of eradication of the corneal blindness from India. Niramaya is running an eye bank approved by Haryana government since 2007. Charitable services of the trust are based on quality.
