Japan’s Ehime Prefecture Governor leads a high-level delegation to Tamil Nadu, Gurugram

After visiting Tamil Nadu and meeting with the CM MK Stalin, the 70-member delegation visited RECT NIHON Centre Tirunelveli, and Aju Nihon Edutech Centre in Gurugram.

New Delhi/Gurugram: On their way to look for investment opportunities and sourcing skilled manpower, Tokihiro Nakamura, Governor of Ehime Prefecture of Japan led a high-level delegation to Tamil Nadu and Gurugram on Wednesday. The delegation comprised of 70 senior officials from Ehime Economic and Labor Department, Industrial Policy Division, Industrial Human Resources Division, Ehime Prefecture Small and Medium Enterprise Association, and other representative associations as well as large industries and banks.

After signing a MoU with the industries department of Tamil Nadu on environment technologies on Tuesday followed by a meeting with the state chief minister MK Stalin, the delegation also visited RECT NIHON Centre Tirunelvoli in Tamil Nadu. The next day on Wednesday it visited Aju Nihon Edutech Centre in Gurugram near New Delhi.

Tokihiro Nakamura, Governor of Ehime Prefecture told Asian Community News (ACN) Network that apart from investment opportunities in India, the delegation was exploring the possibilities of sourcing skilled manpower from India. “That’s why we visited Aju Nihon Edutech Centre in Gurugram. We are impressed after interacting with the students being trained here in various skills as well as Japanese language,” he added.

Ehime Governor said that four of the large visiting companies from Japan were in advanced talks with the Tamil Nadu government to invest and collaborate in the state.

Krishnan Narayan, Founder, Nihon Edutech, and Prakash Yadav, AJU Group of Japanese hotels welcomed the delegation. “It was a proud moment for Aju Group of Japanese Hotels to host the Ehime delegation led by Tokihiro Nakamura San (愛媛県知事 中村時弘), Governor of Ehime Prefecture. In a presentation, I made introduced them the functions of the Aju hotel as well as the Aju Nihon Edutech Centre,” said Yadav.

He said that a new training centre would be set up in Neemrana of Rajasthan soon to offer skill development opportunities to local youths.
