Jisu Kim, Executive VP, Korean Desk & MCB, Yes Bank joins ACN Editorial Advisory Board as Honorary Member

NEW DELHI. Jisu Kim, Executive Vice President, Korean Desk & Multinational Corporate Banking, Yes Bank has joined ACN Editorial Advisory Board as an Honorary Board Member. Also a Director of Foreign Affairs with the Korean Association in Chennai, he is based in Chennai and is actively involved not only with the Korean fraternity but also with the people of India and other nationalities.
At the age of 33, Jisu Kim comes with versatile professional experience with strong connect with India and also deep-rooted knowledge about Indian cultures and customs.
ACN Editorial Advisory Board welcomes Jisu Kim to known as ACN Editorial Advisory Board, which is all set to get greatly benefitted from his rich experience and insightful ideas and thoughts. Mr. Kim happens to be the youngest member of this Asian Think Tank.
An offshoot of the Asian Community News (ACN) Network, the ACN Editorial Advisory Board brings experts from East Asian countries (Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and India) together on a common forward looking platform for strengthening the Indo-Asian bilateral ties through the ACN media initiative and also advocacy platform.
Before joining Yes bank, Mr. Kim was with GS Global Corp at Chennai Office as Regional Manager, and previously with the same company at Delhi office also. He also worked with JIS International for one year as Export Marketing Manager in 2015-16. Previously, he also attended Rajagiri Business School as an Exchange Student.
Jisu Kim strongly believes that India is on a very fast growth trajectory, and would emerge as world’s major global economy overtaking Japan’s 3rd ranking even before 2030.
“Apart from a lot FDI coming to India, the stiff competition between the USA and China is also going to benefit India more than other countries. Many Korean companies are diverting their investment from China and investing in India. Latest example is Global investment firm Carlyle acquiring a majority stake in the Indian beauty and wellness brand VLCC. Also labour cost in countries like China, and Vietnam is increasing. Many Korean companies are shifting their bases from Vietnam to India in electronics and apparels sector,” said Mr. Kim.
Mr. Kim has also offered to write articles for ACN Network from time to time in Korean language to spread awareness among the Korean community in Chennai and around in Southern India.
A graduate of Youngsan University, Mr. Kim majored in Indian Business and enjoys a very old connect with India. After completing his mandatory military service in Korea with the Capital Mechanized Infantry Division as a Sergeant in 2013, he headed towards India and joined Indian logistics company ACS Shipping as an Intern the very next year. Previously he also co-authored KICOX/India Shipbuilding Industry Survey & Strategy.
His next corporate engagement was with Future Retails Ltd in Fashion Merchandising Department as an Intern again. In 2016, he joined Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation as a Researcher. In December last year, he joined Korean Association in Chennai as a Director of Foreign Affairs, and has been very actively involved in in community activities of the association.
