Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU) delegation from Taiwan visits Amity University

NOIDA, India – A high-level Taiwanese Delegation from Kaohsiung Medical University(KMU) Taiwan comprising Professor Chai-Lin Kao, Vice President for Global Affairs, Professor Sodio C. N. Hsu, Dean, College of Life Sciences,  Professor Wei-Yu Lin, Department Chair, Department of Medicinal and  Applied  Chemistry and Miss Ching Wang, Coordinator, Division of Planning & Development, Office of  Global Affairs, visited Amity University Noida campus to explore the potential areas of collaboration.

 

Giving a Brief Introduction of Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU), Professor Wei-Yu Lin, Department Chair of the Department of Medicinal and Applied Chemistry, said, “Kaohsiung Medical University (originally known as Kaohsiung Medical College) was formally established in 1954. Apart from being the first private medical university in the university has also become an important cradle for highly skilled physicians and medical-related specialists. We are glad to visit a prestigious institution like Amity and invite students to participate in various internship programmes in areas such as physics, chemistry, mathematics, life sciences, pharmacy, drug discovery, and the environment. Students will get the opportunity to enhance their skills and get hands-on experience through these internships, which will help them in their professional careers.”

 

Dr. Prof. (Dr.) Chanderdeep Tandon, Addl Pro Vice Chancellor & Dean Research, presented an overview of Amity Research and Innovation initiatives, and Dr. Sunita Rattan, Director of Amity Institute of Applied Sciences, presented an overview of Amity Institute of Applied Sciences. The delegation took a tour of the Amity campus and visited the high-tech laboratories.
