KCCI Taekwondo players selected for Asian Poomsae Taekwondo Championship

NEW DELHI: Korean Cultural Centre India (KCCI) has announced the selection of three of its Taekwondo players as the candidates for the Indian national representatives for the upcoming 6th Asian Poomsae Taekwondo Championship.

The event is scheduled to happen in Beirut, Lebanon on June 14 by Asian Taekwondo Union.

The 3 players, Shilpa Thapa (Gold medal at U-30 Female Individual Poomsae), Mamta Kumari Shah (Silver medal at U-30 Female Individual Poomsae), Gaurav Singh (Silver medal at U-30 Male Individual Poomse) got the medals at the selection trial event of Sports Authority of India (SAI) which was held on 16th May through online platform.

These members are qualified to participate in the 6th Asian Poomsae Taekwondo Championship 2021 which will be held in Beirut, Lebanon on 14th June by Asian Taekwondo Union as Indian representatives. The final decision of the selections for the Asian Poomsae Taekwondo Championship will be decided by SAI.

These 3 players have been trained by the Korean grandmaster in the Korean Cultural Centre India Taekwondo demonstration team for more than 5 years.
