This all-day dining has a large menu of banquet dishes on the buffet and every time I went, I thought about trying a new dish – but never did. I always got the usual suspects because not only are they not easy to find foods, they are just so superbly done especially the oriental and Indian section, and their a la carte is equally decadent, but one of the evenings I requested the chef to plan a Chinese dinner for us.
Trust me, in a city that’s rapidly overrun with restaurants offering Chinese, KitchenAt95 at the Hyatt Regency Ludhiana remains a standout. One bite into their deep-fried fish fillet, golden garlic, and spice salt will make you understand why.
Perfectly crunchy with an Umami taste, it’s everything that I expect classic Chinese cuisine to be. No visit would be complete without sampling their dim sum.
Seemingly they have a dedicated dim sum chef that makes everything to order. Prawn hargao and chicken Shao mai dumplings are great choices. I am impressed that they make their own hot chili and Chinese mustard sauces – two staples of classic dim sum dining. Carbs are my comfort, so my favourite of the evening was the substantial portion of egg-fried rice.
To cool things down you can’t go wrong with pink lemonade or a cucumber cocktail. Vigilant devotion to detail, from the appetite awakening appetizers right down to the mains and the desserts puts it in a class of its own. From the characteristic cocktails to the unforgettable menu, value and service is superlative. There are no average dishes here and service is impeccable.
