Konnichiwa Japan 2024: A Grand Celebration of Japanese Culture Returns to New Delhi

New Delhi, India – The World Heritage Academy, in collaboration with the Konnichiwa Japan Club, has officially announced the much-anticipated return of the Konnichiwa Japan Festival, scheduled to take place on the 23rd and 24th of November 2024. Set to be hosted at the vibrant DLF Avenue in Saket, New Delhi, this year’s festival promises to be a captivating celebration of Japanese culture, aimed at deepening the cultural ties between India and Japan.

With an expected footfall of 12,000 to 15,000 visitors over two days, Konnichiwa Japan 2024 will bring together a rich array of Japanese cultural performances, interactive activities, and authentic cuisine, creating an immersive experience for all attendees. The event’s lineup will feature traditional and contemporary Japanese performances, including the renowned Taiko Drummers, a special Sumo Wrestling exhibition, and a unique Jazz Piano performance by Rei Sakanoue from Japan. Visitors can also look forward to a Japanese kimono fashion show, a cosplay competition, and the ever-popular Anime song DJ Night. For those keen on hands-on cultural experiences, there will be demonstrations of Japanese calligraphy and kimono wearing, as well as gaming competitions and a visitor’s tug-of-war with a Sumo wrestler.

The Konnichiwa Japan Festival has been instrumental in fostering cross-cultural exchanges between India and Japan.
