Korea developing business ecosystem for Korean micro entrepreneurs in India
New Delhi. In a clarion call given to the Korean community, the Korean authorities have invited the individuals, micro and small & medium entrepreneurs to invest in India.
For this, the Korean authorities have started working towards developing a business ecosystem for the potential micro Korean investors.
On June 7, the Korean Association in India in association with the Korean Embassy in India will organize a workshop titled “Korean Self Employed & MSME in India 2019” in Gurgaon near New Delhi.
“The concept behind holding the workshop is that we wish to encourage Korean micro entrepreneurs to set up their businesses in India. Through this workshop that will begin at 9.30 hours on Friday and last till 14.00 hours, we would ensure knowledge sharing and give initial business ideas to the Koreans who are considering doing business in India as micros, small or medium enterprises,” Sung Chang, Hong, Director, Korean Association in India told Asian Community News (ACN) Network. He also happens to be the managing director of NH Bank in India.
As relations between India and Korea are getting stronger day by day, Korea wishes to improve trade ties with India in time to come.
While explaining about the workshop Korean Self Employed & MSME in India 2019, Hong said it will start with the inaugural address by Shin Bong-kil, Korean Ambassador in India and Euy Don Park, Chairman of the Korean Association in India.
“It will be followed by two panel discussions. In the first panel discussion will witness participation of MD of Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), CEO of Korea Internationa Trade Association (KITA), MD of Korean Chamber of Commerce & Industry in India (KOCHAM), CEO of Korean Business Startup Facilitation Centre and President of Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME),” said Hong adding that the panel discussions will be very helpful in creating the ecosystem here.
The venture capitalists who will share knowledge on how to give a business plan for attracting investment and funding. Other panelists like Chairman of KOCHAM and MD of KITA and Korean Small Company Promotion Centre will talk about Indian acts and regulations, government schemes for promoting business in India for the Korean entrepreneurs.
The second panel discussion is all about sharing real business experiences. The CEO of the Korean Association of Small and Medium Industries Association, and CEOs of small businesses, micro-entrepreneurs in the field of interior designing and office fixtures, Korean restaurants and others will share their good or bad experiences in the workshop.
“We anticipate a very good turnout of the Korean individuals and micro-entrepreneurs in the workshop. We are addressing those Koreans who are thinking of setting up some business in India, even if he or she has a job in India, or he/she is already doing some business and wants to expand it in India,” said Hong.
The workshop is initially for the Koreans who are staying in New Delhi, and NCR towns like Gurgaon, Noida, and Faridabad.
The workshop would also have the luncheon session for the networking purpose as this would provide the participants to interact with the Korean authorities, business associations and the top-notch executives of large companies too.
