In golf, an “albatross,” also known as a “double eagle,” means scoring three strokes under par on a single hole, a very rare and impressive achievement. It’s most commonly achieved by sinking the ball in two strokes on a par-5 hole. Albatrosses are considered one of the most difficult and rare scores to achieve in golf. While a birdie is 1-under par on a hole and an eagle is 2-under par, a step better than that is an albatross, which is 3-under par on a hole.

Ambassador Lee Seong-ho teed off from Hole No. 1 to inaugurate the event along with other 4-ball players Seong Heum Park, Chairman of KOSMA, Lee Kwang-il, President of Korean Association in India, and Park Euy Don, President of the Federation of Korean Associations in India.

In another impressive display of golfing skills, Consul Hyunsoo Kim emerged as the winner of the New Perio category and scored a Hole in One. Sanggun Kim, CEO of Jinseong System, who scored 76 (+4), was announced as the medallist.

The event aimed to deepen collaboration between Korean companies operating in India, the Embassy, and various public sectors.

According to KOSMA, which has completed seven successful years of operations, this special invitational serves as a meaningful platform for corporate representatives and public sector officials to connect, network, and explore practical strategies for business cooperation. By bringing key stakeholders together in an informal yet focused setting, organizers hoped to encourage dialogue and foster synergy to benefit India’s broader Korean business community.
