NEW DELHI: Korean Cultural Centre India (KCCI) recently concluded a two-week-long Diwali celebration, featuring a vibrant Rangoli competition, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Korea-India Relations. The event, held from November 6th to 20th, brought together participants from across India to showcase their artistic talents and celebrate the enduring friendship between Korea and India.
The theme of the Rangoli competition, “Weaving Colours and Cultures this Diwali: Korea and India’s Golden Friendship,” aimed to highlight the deep cultural ties and shared values between the two nations.
A total of 94 participants from various regions of India enthusiastically took part in the competition, creating stunning Rangoli designs that reflected the cultural diversity and harmony between Korea and India. The winners were determined based on the number of Likes and Comments received on their Rangoli entries posted on social media platforms. The participation period was extended from the 6th to the 16th, with the evaluation process concluding on the 20th.
The Rangoli designs exhibited a range of artistic expressions, from incorporating both countries’ flags to depicting significant bilateral events such as the recent meeting between Prime Minister Modi and Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol. This not only showcased the participants’ creativity but also celebrated the achievements and milestones of Korea-India relations.
The Rangoli competition’s First Place was clinched by Rujina, who received a prize consisting of an Amazon coupon worth Rs 10,000 and a BTS Butter Album. Second Place was secured by Palak, earning an Amazon coupon worth Rs 5,000 and Blackpink’s Bornpink Album. The third position was claimed by Anisha, who was awarded an Amazon coupon worth Rs 3,000 alongside the NCT Hot Sauce Album.
