Korean delegation meets Greater Noida MLA, urges close connect with Korean community

The BJP MLA Tejpal Singh Nagar assured the delegation of all possible help to the Korean community comprising of professionals as well as their families by having regular interaction with them.

GREATER NOIDA: A high-level 2-member Korean delegation recently met the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Dadri, Greater Noida and senior BJP leader Tejpal Singh Nagar. The Korean delegation led by PARK Euy Don, Chairman, Federation of Korean Associations in India, and CHO Chang Hyun, Managing Director, Elantec urged the MLA to frequently interact with Korean Community as well as representatives of Korean companies based in Greater Noida region, and also become a bridge between the Uttar Pradesh Government agencies and the Korean community and small and medium business enterprises (SMEs).

The BJP MLA held a long discussion with the delegation members and gave a very patient hearing to the suggestions shared by the latter. He assured of all possible help not only to the Korean companies but also the community comprising of professionals as well as their families living in Greater Noida by having regular interactions with them.

During the interaction with the MLA, PARK Euy Don said that the size of Korean community and number of Korean companies was on the rise in Greater Noida, which was turning out to be favourite destination for the Korean community.

“However, the Korean companies especially the SMEs, and the community have some concerns, which are required to be addressed by the UP Government and its various departments. It will make the stay of the community comfortable, and will also encourage more Korean companies to make investment in Greater Noida and set up manufacturing units giving more employment to the local youths and adding to the prosperity of the region,” Mr. PARK added.

As is widely known the presence of Korean community and companies has been increasing multi-fold in Gautam Budh Nagar especially in the Greater Noida region, a burgeoning industrial hub, not only of the Delhi NCR region but also India’s largest state Uttar Pradesh. The world class infrastructure and strategic location and proactive approach of the ate government has attracted many multinational companies, most of which hail from South Korea with Samsung and LG to name a few.  

CHO Chang Hyun, Managing Director, Elantec said that because of the many positive factors such as ease of doing business and excellent infrastructure, the influx of Korean companies into Greater Noida was on the rise. He said that the number could increase even more in the time to come, and more and more SMEs might set up their production facilities here.

The 2-time MLA, Tejpal Singh Nagar fondly known as Tejpal Master amongst the people of his constituency as well as in the political circles of Uttar Pradesh, assured the Koran delegation of all possible help and support.

While praising the delegation’s initiative of making a courtesy visit to his office and sharing the concern of the Korean community and companies, the senior BJP leader and MLA said, “It was a welcome step by the Korean delegation led by PARK Euy Don, Chairman, Federation of Korean Associations in India, and CHO Chang Hyun, Managing Director, Elantec. I assured them of all possible help from the side of the UP government and its various departments. We can also arrange an live interaction between the Korean community and company representatives and NOIDA authority officials where we can take up various issues being faced by the community, and also address the same on the spot.”

As regards promotion of Korean investment in the region, the MLA said that he would like to take a delegation to South Korea comprising of UP Government officials and Korean companies based in Greater Noida to Korea and organise meetings with the potential Korean investors in South Korea to attract more investment to this region.

“We would explain to the potential Korean investors and companies in Korea about the attractive features and facilities the UP government led by the state chief minister Yogi Adityanath is offering to companies and promoting business prospects. It will boost the morale of the potential investors and help them take early decision of moving to Greater Noida,” MLA Nagar added.

The BJP MLA Tejpal Singh Nagar also had a courtesy dinner with the delegation member and served home-made Indian food following the cordial meeting.
