The unsung, quiet but persistent efforts making the society a healthier, greener and a better place to live received due recognition in Gurugram on November 14 when people from all walks of life were conferred upon Green Crusader Awards 2018.
Uthaan – an organization working for clean environment gave away these awards to the people and the organisations who have been contributing to the clean environment without making any eco about it.
The awardees included people and organisations from India as well as other countries such as Korea and China.
The awardees included Missy India, Sameera Satrija, Shubhra Pant, Priyanka Dubey Mehta, Hukum Singh, Sumil Saxena, Amar Dhiman, Pooja Sindhu, Yash Varshney, Shubhra Puri and Subhash Yadav.
Eunyoung Jung, SUMI WOO, Songee Shin, Moyeon Chung and Jungmi Lee from Missy India received the Green Crusader Award.
Missy India is a group of Korean women living in India who have shown keen interest in the uplifting the quality of life in the city of Gurugram and have contributed to the nature by planting trees.
Young from Apus App was present on the occasion to receive the Green Crusader award.
Apus App is a Chinese company and is well knonw worldwide for its mobile phone applications.
The green partners, the corporates that supported the cause as Green Partners included National Geographic Channel, Ingersoll Rand India, Pernod Ricard India, Eltek, Shire Biotech India Pvt Ltd., Moody’s Analytics Knowledge Services, Boston Consulting Group, Estel Technologies, Apus App, Fluor Daniels and Daffodil Softwares.
Launched in the year 2014 by Uthaan, the Green Crusader award has attained much acclaim across the country as well as beyond. Sanjay Kaushik, the president of NGO said that the idea was to recognize the efforts of the people and the organisations who had been working for making the environment clean and check pollution without making any noise about it.
“They are unsung heroes and leaders who don’t prefer to be in the limelight but continue putting their efforts in making the environment living worthy so that people can heave clean air and remain away from pollution,” Kaushik said.
