PURI (ODISHA). Kunna Dash, President, Chandra Sekhar Academy & International Tourism Ambassador of Kyoto, has been nominated as the Convener of the North Asia Zone by Odisha Positive, a worldwide organization.
With this, the new Chapters of Odisha Positive have been formed in ASEAN Countries.Odisha Positive, a forum of the Odia diaspora worldwide headquartered in Delhi, declared the formation of its chapters in the ASEAN countries as a part of the first phase of its drive for global expansion. The chapters of the organisation have been formed in three groups i.e, North Asia Zone, Mekong Zone and Singapore, and Malaysia Zone.
The organisation which was so far functioning in an informal set up with the intellectuals of the worldwide Odia community onboard has now acquired a formal shape. Sanjib Kumar Mohanty, the Chairperson of the organisation has also announced the names of the office-bearers of the newly formed chapters overseas.
Kunna Dash and Biswanth Sethi have been nominated respectively as the Convenor and Co-Convener of the North Asia Zone, while Dr. Adrish Brahmadatta and Dr. Sital Kumar will be the Convenor and Co-Convener respectively of the Mekong Zone. Dr. Snigdha Mishra and Mr. Manmath Sahoo will take over as the Convenor and Co-Convener of Singapore and Malaysia Zone.
Sarat Mohanty, the International Advisor and Sanjeev Patnaik Founder Core – Member of the organisation will be Incharge of affairs of the region for its proper coordination and smooth functioning. A good number of members of the Odia community living in the ASEAN region and also Consul General of India in Vietnam Dr. Madan Mohan Sethi joined recently through a webinar to decide the formation of the chapters of Odisha Positive in their region/zones/countries. The organisation is now on a mission to promote the positive image of the Odia community and the State of Odisha with its art, culture, literature, economy, commerce, and industry, among others.
The state-of-the-art logistics and huge mineral deposits supported by a skilled workforce & stable administration have been a choice of the investors worldwide to invest in the state. It could be successfully made the gateway of southeast Asian nations if all of us join our hands together to make this endeavor a win-win proposition.
