LUNA ARTS to Host Group Art Exhibition “In the Realm of Dreams” at AIFACS New Delhi

NEW DELHI: LUNA ARTS is set to organize a six-day group art exhibition, titled “In the Realm of Dreams,” at the prestigious All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society (AIFACS). The event’s inauguration ceremony will take place on Friday, May 24, 2024, at 6 PM, and the exhibition will be open to the public from May 25 to May 30.

A Prestigious Venue for a Celebrated Event: AIFACS, one of India’s oldest and most prestigious art societies, was founded in 1928 by the British Indian Government to showcase Indian art and artists on a global stage. Located adjacent to the new Parliament of India, AIFACS continues to be a prime venue for significant art events in the country.

This will be the 12th art exhibition and the 8th show at AIFACS by LUNA ARTS. The Noida-based art venture, co-founded by artist and entrepreneur Smita and her brother Tushar in December 2019, focuses on providing a platform for talented Indian artists. LUNA ARTS organizes offline art & photography exhibitions in the National Capital Region.

The motto behind the establishment of this art venture is to provide an excellent fair platform for the emerging and experienced artists of India. They emphasize in promoting those amazing artists who deserve recognition, who are unrecognized by the Indian art industry in spite of their sheer talent.

Inauguration by Esteemed Dignitaries: The exhibition will be inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Padma Shri Biman Das, Chairman of AIFACS and an eminent sculptor of India. Other honorable guests include Major General AVSM (Retd.) Anukul Chandra, renowned cartoonist Irfan Khan, well-known art director and critic Qazi M. Raghib, and celebrity visual artist Ajay Samir.

A highlight of the inauguration event will be a mystical live music performance by the band APSARAH, known for their atmospheric downtempo sounds with a hint of organica, offering a close-to-the-earth soul experience.

Exploring the Depths of Artistic Dreams: According to Tushar “In the Realm of Dreams” is a contemporary art show that features printmaking art, surrealism, intuitive and unconscious art, and impressionism.

Tushar, co-founder of LUNA ARTS, explained, “We chose the title ‘In the Realm of Dreams’ because real creative art is very much similar to dreams. In such art, as in dreaming, the unconscious is often activated, and the originating source of the process or act is of unconscious nature in the form of symbolic or metaphorical images. Symbols from the unconscious not only assist in the healing process of emotional wounds but also help in discovering our true nature of self.”
