New Delhi’s Pragati Maidan is gearing up for an exciting international collaboration as the 2025 Japan Expo India joins hands with the 26th International Engineering & Technology Fair (IETF) from February 20-23, 2025. This event, expected to be South Asia’s largest trade fair, promises a vibrant showcase of traditional Japanese culture combined with modern technological advancements.

The Japan Expo India is organized by the Japan Expo Foundation, a public interest foundation based in the United States, which is dedicated to promoting Japanese culture globally. The Expo will offer a unique platform for Japanese startups, established businesses, and cultural enterprises to present their products and services to a global audience. Through a fusion of traditional Japanese arts, anime, manga, and cutting-edge technology, the event aims to reintroduce Japan to the world with renewed vigor.

In a significant move, Japan will participate as the official Partner Country of IETF 2025. The partnership will spotlight Japanese enterprises and products, providing them with unparalleled opportunities to launch and market their innovations in India. The exhibition will cover a wide range of sectors, including anime, comics, games, traditional crafts, modern creations, food, healthcare, beauty products, medical care, technology solutions, agriculture, and industrial equipment.

With over one million buyers expected to attend, the Japan Expo at IETF 2025 presents a golden opportunity for exhibitors to tap into the vast Indian market. Exhibitors can expect to benefit from the enormous possibilities for business expansion offered by India, which has a population ten times that of Japan.

The concurrent IETF exhibition will attract a diverse range of industries, fostering extensive business networking opportunities. Furthermore, the Japan Expo Foundation and its partners will provide end-to-end assistance, including logistical support for travel, accommodation, and post-event business development.

Exhibitors will gain direct access to India’s key industry players through partnerships with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Japan India International Industry Promotion Association (JIIPA). Founded over 117 years ago, CII boasts a membership of over 7,000 organizations from various sectors, offering exhibitors a powerful platform to build long-term business relationships in India.

Beyond business, the Japan Expo aims to create a cultural dialogue by offering visitors an immersive experience of Japan. Themed as the Fusion of India and Japan, the event will blend the rich cultural heritage of both nations, providing attendees with a taste of Japan’s traditional arts, cuisine, and entertainment.

Companies can use the Expo as a launchpad for new products and services while testing market viability. With over 100,000 visitors attending the previous IETF event, exhibitors can expect substantial exposure and engagement. Early applicants can secure prime booth spots, ensuring maximum visibility and visitor interaction.

The 2025 Japan Expo India is co-organized by the Japan Expo General Incorporated Association (JIIPA) and supported by several prominent Japanese organizations, including the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology, Japan; the Japan India Association; the Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation, Japan; and the Federation of Societies of Commerce and Industry.

Planning support is provided by Japan Seeds Inc., with media support from On Support Inc. The event is managed by the 2025 Japan Expo India Executive Committee.

With comprehensive support and a dynamic platform for showcasing innovations, the 2025 Japan Expo India promises to be a landmark event for Japanese businesses seeking to expand their footprint in India.
