Nov 11-13: New Delhi Korean Film Festival screening 10 critically acclaimed films in Indian national capital
NEW DELHI: Korean Cultural Center India will organise the New Delhi Korean Film Festival at PVR Priya, New Delhi from Friday, November 11 to Sunday, November 13. For 3 days, the festival screens 10 critically acclaimed films and is part of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Korean Cultural Center.
The opening film, “Young Lady,” tells the story of a woman who is hired as a maid of honor by a Japanese heiress, but is involved in a conspiracy to secretly deceive her. This 2 hours 24 minutes movie directed by Park Chan-wook and actors KIM Min-hee, KIM Tae-ri, HA Jung-woo, and CHO Jin-woong, is about a story of 1930s Korea, in the period of Japanese occupation.
As per the story, a new girl (Sookee) is hired as a handmaiden to a Japanese heiress (Hideko) who lives a secluded life on a large countryside estate with her domineering Uncle (Kouzuki). But the maid has a secret.

The girl is a pickpocket recruited by a swindler posing as a Japanese Count to help him seduce the Lady to elope with him, rob her of her fortune, and lock her up in a madhouse. The plan seems to proceed according to plan until Sookee and Hideko discover some unexpected emotions.
The New Delhi Korean Film Festival will begin with the opening ceremony at 6 p.m. on November 11 and film screenings will begin at 7 p.m. Admission is available at 5:30 p.m. and spectators can enjoy a variety of activities at the venue.
