Gurugram. The Chitransh, Gurgaon successfully organized the seventh edition of Shri Chitragupta Puja with lots of gaiety and fanfare at Sahyog community center of Kendriya Vihar in Sector 56, Gurugram on Tuesday.
About 200 Kayastha families from across Delhi and NCR towns attended the sacred puja that mesmerized the deities with a series of cultural programs followed by a community feast.
The prominent ones who attended the puja included former DGP, Haryana Sheel Madhur, former ED, Power Grid Chetan Verma, JNU Scientist Dr. Praveen K Verma, DS Group Senior Official Sanjay Srivastava.
It was collectively organized with the efforts of Sanjeev Shrivastava, Rajesh Kumar, S N Labh, C S Prasad, Anish Chandra, Manoj Srivastava, Santosh Sinha, Deepak Verma, Deepak Kumar.
According to Sanjeev Shrivastav, the general secretary of the community society Chitransh, the 7th edition of Sri Chitragupta Puja turned out to be a great success this year again.
Prior to the event, The Chitransh, Gurgaon’s core committee had met in Kendriya Vihar, Sector-56, Gurgaon to take stock of the Shri Chitragupta Puja preparations.
Like previous years, this year too Sri Chitragupta Puja was planned to be celebrated with lots of fervor, fanfare, pomp and show.
“It’s heartening to note that our The Chitransh had a 20% increase in its membership base this year as compared to last year,” said Rajesh Kumar, president, The Chitransh.
The Chitransh’s General Secretary Sanjeev Shrivastava said that like the previous six years, this year too, the Kendriya Vihar-based community hall SAHYOG was decided to be the venue of the Shri Chitragupta Puja and to host 200 plus Kayastha families during puja as well as for community feast.
