Peaceful Unification Advisory Council, Southwest Asia expresses active support for “8.15 Unification Doctrine”   

The Resolution read, "We will actively take the lead in promoting the vision of free unification to the international community and guaranteeing freedom and human rights to North Korea as soon as possible."

NEW DELHI: Lee Kwang-il, Chairman of the Southwest Asia Chapter of the Peaceful Unification Advisory Council has expressed active support for the “8.15 Unification Doctrine” announced by th President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Seok-yeol, the chairman of The Peaceful Unification Advisory Council, on the 79th anniversary of Liberation Day at the JLN Indoor Auditorium in New Delhi, India, on October. 18.

Later on October 22, Ambassador Chang Jae-bok presented a presidential citation to Lee Kwang-il, the chairman of the Southwest Asia Chapter of the Peaceful Unification Advisory Council, and a prime ministerial citation to Kang Ho-bong, the chairman of the Korean Association in India, in commemoration of the 18th World Korean Day at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea.

The “8.15 Doktrin” aims to promote North Koreans’ desire for free unification and secure international solidarity and support for a free and unified Korea, and to form a consensus on unification, with the vision of unification that the Republic of Korea will lead the international community’s harmony and development and contribute to world peace and prosperity.

“On this day, Lee Kwang-il, Chairman  of the Peaceful Unification Advisory Council Southwest Asia Chapter made a resolution to take the lead so that President Yoon Seok-yeol’s “three unification visions,” “three unification promotion strategies,” and “seven unification promotion plans” can be realized well.

In particular, we will actively take the lead in promoting the vision of free unification to the international community and guaranteeing freedom and human rights to North Korea as soon as possible.

Lee Kwang-il, president of The Peaceful Unification Advisory Council Southwest Asia Chapter, once again emphasized in his resolution, “A happy country where the freedom and security of the people are guaranteed, a strong and prosperous country that leaps forward with creativity and innovation, a country that leads the harmony and development of the international community and contributes to world peace and prosperity. This is the future of a unified Korea that we dream of.”

In addition, all the advisors of The Peaceful Unification Advisory Council Southwest Asia Chapter said that they will make every effort to strengthen their capacity to draw international support for the free unification of the Korean Peninsula in their respective countries and to spread the support of the “August 15 Unification Doctrine” in the international community through various activities with overseas Koreans.
