In a unique show of performance for the first time, the dance troupes from South and North Korea would share the common stage during the traditional dance show from Korean peninsula in New Delhi on December 1-2.
Titled as ‘Echo of South and North Korea’, the dance performance will take place at the 12th Delhi International Arts Festival.
The event is being organsied by Kofrean Cultural Centre India.
The team comprises of South Korean dance, North Korean dance and Korean traditional music.
The performers are from South Korea and the dance troupe is led by the dancer and North Korean defector Ms. Choe Shin-ah who is now a South Korean national.
On December 1, the dance performance will happen at the Purana Qila, Mathura Road at 06:30 PM and the following day it be staged at the Central Park, Connaught Place at 07:00 PM.
After Korea got divided into north and south respectively, dance style also has been changed as the time passed. Both the south and the north dance have their own characteristics which the performing group will perform on one single stage.
The stage performance will showcase the beauty and the excellence of rich Korean culture.
There will be 12 performances by Korean artists which will include Tri-colored fan dance, Chukwon dance, Love song from Chunhyang story, Jaenggang dance, Jindo drum dance and many more.
