South Korean multinational Boditech Med Inc to set up R&D facility in India
The Point-of-Care (POC) diagnostic solutions provider company plans to tipple its revenue in 5 years.
Jhajjar, India – With highly ambitious plans in India, Boditech Med India, a South Korean multinational specializing in innovative Point-of-Care (POC) diagnostic solutions, plans to triple its sales revenue in five years and set up its research and development facility here.
With a footprint in 140 countries worldwide, Boditech Med moved to its newly constructed production facility in the MET City (Model Economic Township), at Jhajjar near Gurugram, Haryana on Friday. An integrated greenfield smart sustainable city – MET City is a 100% subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited.
In a conversation with the Asian Community News (ACN) Network, Dr. Eui-Yul Choi, Chairman and CEO of Boditech Med Inc., said, “We project to increase our current sales revenue of 7 USD million to 20 USD million in five years and employ 150 people. We also plan to set up an R&D Facility in India in the near future to tap this country’s high-skilled talent.”
However, Dr. Choi did not disclose the possible location of the R&D facility nor the investment outlay for the new project.
“India represents both a crucial market and an emerging global manufacturing hub for medical devices. The country’s supportive policy framework and growing healthcare infrastructure make it an ideal location for our expansion as we strengthen our commitment to the Indian market,” he added.
Once a professor at a university in Seoul, Dr. Eui-Yul Choi had set up Boditech Med Inc. along with a select group of students.
The Inauguration Ceremony of Boditech Med’s state-of-the-art facility was held in the presence of Lee Seong-Ho, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to India, Lee Kwang-il, President of Korea Association in India, Euy Don Park, President of the Federation of Korean Associations in India), Dr. Pramod Kabra (Managing Director, Everlife CPC Diagnostics), and S V Goyal (CEO & Whole-Time Director, MET CITY.
